  Betty Cooper : Sheriff Keller thinks it's possible someone was following us.

  Veronica Lodge : Oh, my God. Honestly, guys, we should... we should just move.

  Betty Cooper : Guys, what if Polly's really hurt? What if whoever killed Jason's coming after her next?

  Jughead Jones : Hey.

  [he puts his arm around Betty comfortingly, she grabs it and earns confused and surprised looks from Archie and Veronica, but neither Betty nor Jug seem to notice] 

• Betty Cooper : Hey - you didn't have to walk me home.

  Jughead Jones : There's a killer on the loose... remember? Besides, isn't this what... you know... what people like us who have gone through what we've gone through do?

  [Betty grips his hand a little tighter. She looks conflicted. Jughead notices] 

  Jughead Jones : What is it? I mean, besides everything.

  Betty Cooper : She wouldn't have run away if it wasn't for me, Jug.

  Jughead Jones : Betty. You're parents were the ones lying to her and keeping her in the dark. You did the right thing telling her the truth.

  Betty Cooper : It's funny. This isn't the first time Polly's run away from home. She was nine. She and my mom got in this huge fight and she disappeared for hours - the whole neighborhood was out looking for her.

  Jughead Jones : How far did she get?

  [Betty suddenly knows where Polly is] 

  Jughead Jones : What?

  Betty Cooper : [Betty kisses Jughead]  Thank you for walking me home. I'll call you later. Goodnight.

  [She rushes off and Jughead watches her go, smiling] 

• Betty Cooper : What do you want... Cheryl?

  Cheryl Blossom : What we both want. For the baby to be safe. How can I help?

  Betty Cooper : You can't. I don't trust you, Cheryl.

  [shakes her head] 

  Cheryl Blossom : So don't trust me. Watch me like a hawk. Tell me the barest minimum. But let me help Polly.

  Betty Cooper : You think Polly's crazy.

  Cheryl Blossom : I do. I think she's crazier than a serial killer on bath salts, but so what? She's carrying Jason's baby. That trumps everything. Do you know where she is?

  Betty Cooper : [shakes her head]  If I did I wouldn't tell you.

  Cheryl Blossom : Oh, my God, you do.

  Betty Cooper : No.

  Cheryl Blossom : Wow, you are the worst liar I've ever encountered. Spare me the details, Betty, just tell me how I can be of assistance to my darling nephew or niece.

  Betty Cooper : Okay. Uh... Polly needs money. For a safe place to live. And for medical stuff.

  Cheryl Blossom : Cash? Is that all? I can talk to my Mom and Dad.

  Betty Cooper : What? No, Cheryl.

  Cheryl Blossom : Jason's baby is a game changer. We're all on the same team now.
