Violence & Gore

  • There are a lot of fighting sequences in which zombies are knocked down by punches and strong blows.
  • When the zombies bite the humans, there is some blood, occasionally splatters, and rarely the wounds are shown.
  • A deer is seen being run over and is believed to have died from the incident. However after the car drives away, the deer stands up with grey eyes.
  • When people are bitten they turn into zombies almost instantly.
  • The violence is a strong moderate or a light severe, depending on the person who is watching
  • The portrayal of infliction of pain and injuries is depicted with some detail of blood and gore, but is not prolonged and/or frequent.
  • Frequent portrayals of zombies on a rampage who bite and feed on uninfected people, whose bodies convulse and eyes turn white after being bitten.
  • Apart from scenes of zombies biting the victims, the characters also bludgeon the zombies' heads using baseball bats.
  • Several scenes of a horde of zombies feeding on individuals, with blood splattering onto train doors and windows.

Violence & Gore

  • At the end of the film, Gong Yoo becomes infected and jumps off of a train to protect a pregnant woman and his daughter. His shadow letting go of the train can be seen.
  • A teen is attacked and bitten by a zombie. He coughs up blood. This may be disturbing to some viewers
  • A sniper is told to shoot a pregnant woman and a young girl, but is stopped when he notices they are not zombies.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Gong Yoo's character dies at the end of the film. This is an extremely upsetting, sad, emotional and heartbreaking scene. It can cause a lot of viewers to cry. It can also be very uncomfortable and hard to watch. This is definitely by far the most saddest scene in the entire movie.
