Watchable silliness!
Youbringthemunchies18 October 2020
You will enjoy watching the show if you ignore the main lead actress. Unfortunately her acting abilities or OTT & she comes across insincere. The storyline is a bit far fetched but it's still watchable. The supporting cast & main lead are great to watch.

On a side note I think the stylist had it in for the female lead. Her clothes were hideous, I don't believe it was the fashion trend as all the other females wore decent clothes. Most of her outfits were distracting & not in a good way.

Don't get me started on her hairstyle ... I'll be here all day!

Room for improvement but a fun watch, nevertheless!

I liked this story, a lot, even though there were scenes that seemed overdone to the point of not convincing me anymore.

I really enjoy a good love story and this one, while different, did work for me. I was pleasantly surprised that Ryu. Jun-Yeol, was the main character. I'd seen him in Reply 1988 and was so disappointed in how his confession in that series was handled that I got really excited to see a different character from him.

Being goofy and in love, was a fun watch, for me.

Points lost go to the director and screenwriter. The cast themselves, did a great job with what they were given.

Worth watching

I found this little gem after watching Reply 1988 and really loving Ryu Jun-Yeol in that. I found this drama and it's really fun to watch. I really like him as an actor and he doesn't disappoint in this role! I also really like the very quirky Hwang Jung-eum. She was lovely in She Was Pretty, and equally lovely in this one. I enjoyed watching it!

Fun and light

This series is just wonderful. The plot is exaggerated obviously for comedic purposes, but it makes the show great. The acting was good, and the leads had chemistry. I absolutely recommend it if you are in the mood to watch something light and fun, it will put a smile on your face every time.

Soooo funny and sooo touching!

One of the best funny and warm korean dramas. You will end up laughing and crying in each and every episode. I loved the lead actor, his expressions are sooo hilarious! The best was that the last few episodes were soo nice and unpredictable, unlike other rom coms. This one also has a very nice message. Really commendable work, thank you again Netflix for adding this one! Don't miss it, if you liked 'she was pretty', you will love this one even more!

Superstition run amuck makes for the fairly odd couple yet it is cute and works

Warning: Spoilers
9/10 is my rating. Shim Bo-nuI had lived a life filled with a series of tragic events. Looking for meaning she turns to a Shaman who tells her she is the epicenter of all the bad luck and gives her advice to take physical measures that make her seem odd to other people. She keeps many people at arms length for fear that her unlucky aura will cause bad things to happen to them. She keeps crossing paths with a cold genius CEO Je Soo-ho (Seol Woo-Byung). It has been years since her sister fell into a coma and doctors are encouraging Bo-nul to discharge her sister and care for her at home which is a likely death sentence. With years of unpaid medical bills and the diminishing possibility that her sister will ever wake up result in an urgency to the situation. Feeling powerless, Bo-nul once again turns to the Shaman for advice and he tells her she must sleep with a man from the year of the tiger to change her sister's fate. It just so happens that the socially awkward and cold genius she keeps running into is year of the tiger. At the same time, Choi Geon-wook/Gary Choi (Lee Soo-Hyuk), Bo-nul's childhood friend, returns to South Korea, after making it big as an international tennis star. He still has feelings for Bo-nul who was secretly his first love.

I really liked all the characters and the romance progressed in a way that was believable. It was even relatable how she became convinced she was unlucky and why she might try to feel in control by doing things the Shaman said would change an outcome. It felt a little frustrating at times when those around her point out how illogical some of her conclusions were she would stubbornly stick with her beliefs even when the outcome of events was overall positive. It came to a point where clinging to superstition was a way to shield herself from tragedy. It felt a bit cowardly at times and I found myself going from understanding to irritation because she hurt others by withdrawing lest her bad luck rub off on them. It was enjoyable overall well worth the watch.

Cute, Realistic, Yet Goofy Love Story
fake_moviestar25 October 2021
I put off watching this show for quite awhile because of its lackluster reviews and the fact that it flew mostly under the radar, but I am so glad I finally got around to watching it. The premise sounds so dull, so I was surprised at how serious and heartwarming parts of the show were - it definitely was a comedy too, and the comedic moments (with the exception of a few complaints I had with another couple) were genuinely funny. The cast is well developed and well rounded, and I liked most of the characters a lot. I thought character reactions and reasoning's were well thought out and deserved. I appreciated that despite the dorky way our couple showed their love, they were both very mature and level headed. I also really liked how the ML was cold but not mean, which is rather rare in kdrama-world.

This was such a great rom-com, I highly recommend giving it a try, I was hooked from the first episode!

Good enough
PennyReviews11 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
A light romance drama, which was based, however, on a silly idea. The girl believes in luck and she goes through rituals or consults her shaman before her every action. That's okay enough. But, half way through, she just changes her beliefs just like that. I know love is strong etc etc but still, I would have preferred a better representation of the girl's personality and inner thought, as her beliefs weren't unreasonable for her. Maybe the cause of the whole romance driven story was the fact that they might wanted to make a light romance drama rather than a little more dramatic. But still, if so, they shouldn't have created such a dramatic background for her. Anyway, other than that, the drama was okay, with a strong and funny start, but with a so so ending. The love story was cute and the couple had some chemistry, but the girl got a little annoying down the way. Still, it was okay, with some great performances. So, 4 out of 10.

Could Watch Over and Over
shankleae10 September 2021
The leads were accurate in playing their characters from their careers, clothing styles, to their idiosyncratic behaviors. This was the cutest love story ever. For those of us who fell in love with Ryu Jun Yeol's character, Kim Jung-hwan, in Reply 1988: Je Soo-ho is redeeming, gratifying, refreshing, and atones for Kim Jung-hwan's personality and character in Reply. Im more than grateful Ryu Jun Yeol was cast as Je Soo-ho. He. Did an excellent job bringing the character to life. He was nerdy, funny, romantic, and he pursued his interest this time.

Horoscope Romance
Park_Min27 February 2024
I was reluctant getting into this drama when I read "the CEO of a top gaming company" in the synopsis. It's like an instant turn off, this kind of setting can always guarantee an unpleasant experience which was somewhat true in this drama too. This aspect of it and anything related to that was its worst part for sure. They went for the superstitions concept for this drama but it ended up being underutilized, as expected. I found the resolution for almost every conflict and point of tension to be quite disappointing. Gary's father, Su Ho's father, the main leads issues, the FL's sister and her superstitions were all given a half-hearted resolution.
