Same old stuff from Bhatt camp !!!!
ganeshpawar-9428 September 2016
Raaz series is back with Raaz reboot . But unfortunately it is back with same old stuff. It has nothing which you haven't seen in previous Bhatt movies . Talking about story of the movie is just ordinary . Even the screenplay of film is not scary . Even horror scene are those tried and tested scenes which fails to scare you . Biggest problem with the screenplay is it's predictabilty . Vikram Bhatt's direction is lame , because he didn't even tried to scare the audience . When it comes to horror flicks , most important thing is visuals of film . But Raaz failed when it comes to visual effects . Acting wise , only Emraan knows how to act in the cast . Not even any supporting actor was good enough . In fact they are so bad that you feel like laughing when they are seriously scared . You feel bad for Emraan because all his hardwork is wasted here . Only other good thing about this movie after Emraan was it's music . Music is just awesome . Every song is great . I would say instead of watching this movie , just download the songs because they are much better .

Credit goes to Emran Hashmi and may be he will be the savior of the movie......
fillerruth15 September 2016
Raaz Reboot is one of the most anticipated movies of this year and this franchise is quite successful. Maybe the previous movies were not critically acclaimed but they are all commercially successful. It is a horror movie franchise and the story lines of those movies are different from each other. The first Raaz movie is a very good horror thriller and a very commercially successful movie. Then the predecessors have not achieved the good rate but commercially successful. For the success story of this franchise, I was eagerly waiting for this movie.

The producers took Vikram Bhatt as a director and this is a very good decision because he is a very good horror movie creator. They cast Emraan Hashmi and I think this is the best decision for this movie. I know Emran Hashmi is a good actor. His previous venture Azhar is not a successful movie but he shined in that movie. And for this movie when the performance is concern he is equally good. Kriti Kharbanda is OK but nothing to shout about. Gaurav Arora is strictly OK.

The direction of the movie OK but not great. The director had to concentrate on the story and the story is not quite imposing. The script and the screenplay are not rigid and there are plenty of plot holes in that. Editing is very choppy and music is not great.

After all, this is a Raaz Franchise and very anticipated movie for this years so you can take a chance for this movie.

What the F@&K
kinshuk-gaur17 September 2016
Raaz Reboot--- Movie opens in Transylvania (Romania) Wow! what a set for a Horror movie. Avid Horror movie viewers will get what I am talking about. The Wow part ends and what you are left is terrible 2 hours. Vikram Bhatt is always inspired by Hollywood movies. In the past his movies have some share of success but mostly failures. Guess! what this time he made this movie inspired by his own horror movies and the result is a disaster. You feel at times you are watching Raaz, shades of Raaz 2, 1920, 1920 evil returns and what not.

The movie's script is thin as a wafer. Vikram Bhatt feels the Indian audience are fools. Viewers have been watching possession movies since "The Exorcist" so they know the standards. Mr Bhatt is still using those iconic scenes in his movies. But this time he is not able to depict that convincingly which he was successful in 1920. English anymore is not a barrier for the Indian audience as they have watched "The Conjuring 2" this year dubbed in Hindi. Thereafter, you are serving them Raaz Reboot is like instead of serving fresh food you are serving long-standing food which will destroy the consumer's appetite and make them feel sick The climax is of Bhatt's earlier venture 1920 as it is. Though in 1920 Adah Sharma and Rajneesh Duggal looked convincing in the climax. But if you compare the climax with Raaz Reboot both Adah and Rajneesh deserve an Oscar. The word Fu@# is being used in glory throughout the movie

The makeup of the ghost is the worst you have seen in the recent times. Bad background score, almost the same that was used in 1920 but here it does not work and is just a cacophony. Pathetic acting by Kirti Kharbanda and Gaurav Arora..Imraan Hashmi is a lost opportunity. Bhatt's last venture though he was not the director, 1920 London looks masterpiece compared to this movie. Vikram Bhatt is walking in Ramgopal Verma's shoes now. Strictly avoidable movie

Errors In The System; Could Not Reboot. ♦ Grade F
nairtejas16 September 2016
Modern Bollywood horror films tend to unintentionally induce humor, and this fourth installment in the popular Raaz franchise is no different.

Shaina (Kriti Kharbanda) and her husband Rehaan (Gaurav Arora) have just moved to Romania, the birth place of Count Dracula. While Shaina is hoping to start a family here, Rehaan is preoccupied with something, which the audience have to assume to be what the title suggests (a secret). He behaves like he has ants in his pants and refuses to help her with her mission despite of it being a tempting one. As one can predict, it doesn't take much time for Shaina to experience ghost- like occurrences in the mansion that they live in, and before soon, she is possessed with a so-called spirit. Rehaan regrets his recent rude behavior with his wife, and scrambles to make her sane again, with the help of psychometric, the only new and interesting topic in the whole film.

I will say this straight out: there's nothing new in the film, which we could have easily guessed, given that the title suggests pretty much everything it had in store for us. Life of a seemingly happy couple turns upside down when one of them gets possessed whereas the unaffected one tries to pull some strings and chants "Hail Mary!" along with that weirdo of an exorcist to make the person sane again. Typical story-line straight out of the horror genre shelf, with some tweaks here and there in dribs and drabs. Emraan Hashmi comes out of a possible fugue state and enters the scene halfway and convolutes the plot just so people could distinguish between the films in the franchise in future. Otherwise, no one would be able to tell the four films apart from each other, save the mercy of the non-recurring actors.

There are lots of problems (or errors, as I like to call them here) with the plot and the way the characters speak with each other. Of course, the CBFC was right when it accused the film of using f-words non-sparingly. The ghost in the film seems to be a real performer, providing glimpses of her repertoire while she is in the act of scaring other characters. Her diction is pretty narrow and words obviously hated by CBFC takes up half of it. The fact that the plot unfolds in an exotic place like Romania does not even start to help the film from slipping down the drain.

Hashmi is the only bearable person. Poor man's Karan Singh Grover, Gaurav Arora, looks like he came right out of the Love Games (2016) sets and pretended he was kicking up a fight with his co-star of that film, Patralakeha. No chemistry between any of the couples in the film, unless you consider contrived scenes involving foreplay as romance.

Hasmi's films are usually a one-time affair, but this one did not even get the songs right, which is a travesty.

BOTTOM LINE: Vikram Bhatt's "Raaz: Reboot" tries to reboot itself by manually going to the Windows start menu, clicking on the Power option, and then confirming Restart. The only problem is that before it can complete the action, it gets the infamous Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error, which can only be rectified if you "shut down and then try again". Skip it!

Can be watched with a typical Indian family? NO

I can't explain it in words how awful is this movie and how painful it was to watch it.
saxenameghraj18 September 2016
Well, they tried again very hard to scare the viewers but I didn't find even a single moment of horror in this movie. I was laughing at the moments where the movie was actually supposed to scare us because of the worst makeup, bad sound effects, bad background, horrible acting . Really bad effects, plus a very weak story. There was a scene where a snake broke the car radiator to prevent Emran and Kriti from going somewhere. I mean seriously?? If a f***ing ghost is involved in this, then does he really needs a f***ing snake to do that task. And believe me that snake graphics were horrible. And not to mention, the ghost makeup was the worst I have ever seen in my life. The ghost makeup was so damn realistic in Hollywood movies even in 60's and the Bollywood people can't afford to do that even in the 21st century. I mean come on yr. Dialogues were dreadful, it was way too laughable when the ghost kept on saying "f**k you" repeatedly to the Hero. The story was a mixture of many movies like 1920, 1920 returns, Raaz (part-1), the Exorcist and what not. The climax was copied as it is from the movie 1920. really disappointed to waste 2 hours of my life on this movie.

if you are a horror lover please keep away from this piece of garbage
vikram2003201217 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
i am just back from this awful movie , i know its late in the night but i cant control myself from writing review of this piece of crap. First of all this movie appears like hybrid resulted after terrible f&cking of '1920' & 'RAAZ'. There is nothing in this movie that you've never seen before. if you are really in mood to watch a horror movie just rent a DVD of 1920 or any horror movie and save your movie and energy. The movie is about two couples who come to Romania and wife start experiencing some paranormal crap like all typical horror movies. She tells her husband about it and he doesn't believe and some crap happens and they are compelled to seek help from a psychic and crap like that. positive in the film are 1 Background score is good but it is not enough to keep you at the edge seat. 2.location of the film in Transilvaniya {Romania} is beautiful. 3. Presence of Emran Hashmi. AND the negatives oh my god where to start with OK 1. First, i am going to start with story line, the story-line of this movie is like a decade old, and nothing new in it. its about possession of a girls and i think you know what i am trying to say 2.Second, the screenplay of the movie is worse than ever, its like you are watching the bgrade version of 1920. one can easily guess the twists and turns in it. 3.Acting of all the actors including the lead is terrible like shi@. 4. and at last dialogues are from the 80s. so please save your precious time, money and energy by avoiding it

More Funny than Scary
amit171716 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Raaz Reboot is the fourth installment in the Raaz franchise and i don't understand why it's called a reboot, or why it's even tagged as an horror movie.

The movie has laughable sequences throughout, like when possessed Shaina (Kriti) climbs up walls like spiderman. The movie tries real hard to scare you, but fails. The ghost, that is when Shaina's possessed, doesn't even look a bit of scary. In fact, Emraan Hashmi as a ghost is scarier than her.

Towards the end, the movie once again uses the age old tactics of questioning God's existence and using religious practices to ward off ghosts and evil spirits.

Fun fact : The makers wanted the film to be look as realistic as possible, and Emraan suggested Vikram Bhatt to shoot at the haunted Hoia Baciu Forest. But the forest was hardly used except for burial of Emraan's body and later unearthing it.

If you get scared quickly, then maybe you should watch this movie for some thrill. Otherwise, if you're a big fan of horror movies like The Conjuring, skip this.

Raaz Reboot is Scary with some terrifying sequences. If you are fan of Horror genre, must give a chance to these one.
kaushalmodi198518 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Director Vikram Bhatt has started Raaz series in year 2002 and continues the same with Raaz: The Mystery Continues (2009) and Raaz 3D (2012). Huge Success of Raaz has given rebirth to Horror Genre again in Bollywood. These time its Raaz Reboot, the 4th installment of Raaz Series. Will Raaz Reboot will merge success on Box office like its previous versions or will be passed on. Let's analyze.

Movie starts with arrival of Rahaan Khanna (Gaurav Arora) and Shaina (Kirti Kharbanda) to Romania. Rehaan is not happy to come to Romania, but due to Shania's insistence, he came to Romania from Mumbai. Things are get worse, when Shania feels that there is some thing wrong in house and Its haunted. She tries to convince Rehaan that there is spirit in house but he refuses the same. In lots of disturbance, She comes across with fashioned photographer Aditya (Emraan Hashmi) who was her ex boy friend. Aditya knows each and every thing happening with her and he promise her to help her out from that condition. Will Aditya Help her out from that condition or what will happen next? That's the secret of Raaz Reboot.

Raaz Reboot is watchable for these 3 reasons. first Spine Chilling horror scenes. second is Its unique, Suspense and thrilling story line which hooks you up to till suspense reveals and third one is Its top class Cinematography. Cinematographer has done good job of capturing the beauty of Romania. Here I want to add these time Director Vikram Bhatt has done full justice to story line and not only to Horror scenes. You may also feel some times that horror is less or missing in second half but its as per script demand.

If we talk about Performances, Emraan Hashmi is good as always, Gaurav Arora has done good job. Its Kirti Kharbanda who has given complete justice to her role, she has given superb performance. Music is hummable and its another plus factor for Raaz Reboot. Background score is really good. Its makes movie scary in some scenes.

Overall, Raaz Reboot is Scary with some terrifying sequences. If you are fan of Horror genre, must give a chance to these one.

It's not a film or a good business formula either. (The age VF= Vishesh Films are over)
joykdas8 July 2022
You know how to serve old wine in a new glass?

Go to bhatt camp. Take emraan hashmi, two new comers and some not well known stars.

The final formula---

Raaz 1(65%)+Murder 1(25%)+1920(10%) = Raaz Reboot(2016)

Add some songs by arijit singh, kk and pritam.

Now you've seen a great flop horror movie that is a musically hit.

Guys, open your eyes it's a business formula rather than a movie.(jago Grahak jago).

Good, in parts; but avoidable, overall
sowvendra23 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
In 2002's Raaz, only the husband had a secret. In 2016's Raaz Reboot, both the husband and the wife have a secret➖a shared secret. The wife doesn't tell the husband because she felt that it was all over. The husband didn't tell the wife because he too thought that it was all over. So the secret himself (this "himself" might be a spoiler) comes haunting the couple.

To give credit to the film, Raaz Reboot is scary, especially the first part. The scares are of the shock-scare type, but they are scary. I saw this film only last night, in the balcony of an ancient single-screen cinema hall. There seemed to be only twenty other people besides me in that space which could house about 200 or so people. I had been given an aisle seat and the rows near and behind me were all vacant. So, starting from the first scary scene, I was looking all around me. There was not much in the story, but the scares kept me glued, and I expected even more scares in the second half, but I was terribly, terribly disappointed.

It wasn't just the second half of Raaz Reboot that made it disappointing - let us not talk logic and all here - it was also the revelation part which was a complete letdown and where it differs from the Raaz of 2002➖which I would call a superior film despite being an unabashed copy of the Michelle Pfeiffer-Harrison Ford-starrer, What Lies Beneath.

In 2002's Raaz, women were all-powerful. It was almost a feminist venture, Vishesh Films style. Malini Sharma was the manipulative and malevolent spirit, while Bipasha Basu was the unafraid and protective wife. But I will still not call Raaz a good film. Entertaining, yes; but good, no➖simply because it very conveniently turned Malini Sharma's character, who we are told is unstable, into the villain. This was not the case in Raaz's inspiration, What Lies Beneath. Amber Valletta wasn't projected as the villain. A spirit seeking salvation, yes, but not the villain. Harrison Ford, who killed Amber Valletta, was the villain. Years later, in Prabhu Deva's Action Jackson, Manasvi Mamgai, who again plays an unstable character who falls in love with a married man, Ajay Devgn, is made a villain. When will Bollywood learn to respect psychiatric conditions? But, well, that's a different issue altogether.

In Raaz Reboot, the scenario is totally the opposite. In Raaz Reboot, it is the woman who has been called the weaker link. In several scenes, the two male leads - Emraan Hashmi and Gaurav Arora, one of who is the antagonist - are seen debating the fidelity of the female lead, played by Kriti Kharbanda. One of the major plot elements involves a mangalsutra which, if the woman has on her body, no evil spirit would be able to touch her. In one tense and indecisive moment, Kharbanda's character - who is married to Arora's character - takes off her mangalsutra and has sex with the other man, played by Hashmi. Now, the woman is possessed by an evil spirit, and her man has to actually hold her tight with the mangalsutra in his hand to exorcise the spirit. Isn't it like tying up the woman completely? When the woman isn't tied up by the spirit, she is tied up by the mangalsutra. So, it's almost as if a woman's fate lies in being tied up, and I could actually imagine most of the audience thinking, "It is the woman's fault. She should have told her husband her secret." Well, what about the husband's part of the secret then? Wasn't he a responsible party too? Raaz of 2002 didn't have such confusing and questionable moments. It was straightforward. The man was the villain - or a criminal, at least - and it is the woman who was the hero. In Raaz of 2002, both Basu and Sharma were both glamour and fury. In Raaz Reboot, Kharbanda is mostly glamour and some body contortion which has become a staple in Hindi horror films nowadays. Raaz of 2002 at least had memorable songs, songs whose lyrics I remember even today. Raaz Reboot has such songs that I remember that one song was sung by Arijit Singh, but I do not remember at all how that song went! Like Raaz, though, Raaz Reboot too has a cameo by a crow.

Hashmi does best whatever he had been asked (or expected) to do. Arora seriously needed a haircut.

Another drawback of Raaz Reboot is its language and setting. If Raaz could be set in India with Indian themes, why was Raaz Reboot taken to Romania? There are so many English dialogues - minus subtitles - so many Caucasian characters (including a Gypsy woman who works as a medium), and so many references to spirits of the Western world, that it seems one is watching a Hindi remake of The Exorcist or The Conjuring. Also, believe it or not, they actually mentioned Count Dracula's castle and there was a building called Hotel Transylvania! However, there was one quirky part in the film that shocked me - in a delightful way - even more than the shock-scares. Kriti Kharbanda, whose character is supposed to be from Kolkata, in a scene with Emraan Hashmi, quotes a line by Rabindranath Tagore, first in original Bengali, and then its Hindi translation for the benefit of the audience.

Is this really a Vikram Bhatt's work with Emraan Hashmi?
aksxxx-3294324 September 2016
Pros- Awesome songs and nothing. Seriously nothing.

Cons- Useless exaggerated background music throughout the plot. Except Emraan, either over acting or no acting at all from other casts. Tons of cheesy dialogues. No new scares or thrills only faces and creatures jumping on the screen with a loud scary music which is happening since decades. Very disappointing. Please make some decent Horror. It seems there is nothing left to think in Bollywood after watching 1920 London and Raaz 3.

Eagerly waiting for another masterpiece in Bollywood like 1920(2008), Raaz(2001) and Haunted.

See only if you are fan of Raaz franchise
pranayjalvi21 September 2016
Raaz Reboot has the same old stuff that we have seen a zillions times.Raaz Reboot is mediocre fare and may appeal only to fans of the Raaz franchise. Most of its horror sequences are so random that they evoke laughter instead of fear. That can never be a good proposition for a horror film.Though the film has a few scary scenes, it ends up being a clichéd love story instead of a horror flick. The music by Jeet Ganguly, Sangeet and Sidharthy Haldipur is melodious, especially the title track. However, the movie doesn't really offer you a solid reason for watching it. I would go with 2/5 for this successor of Raaz franchise and would advise not to watch it and go for 'PINK' instead of it.

Raaz Reboot is actually a reboot, since it just refreshes our memories of previous Raaz series – Raaz, Raaz-The Mystery Continues and Raaz 3D.
binducherungath17 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Raaz Reboot, a film written and directed by Vikram Bhatt, is the fourth one in the horror film series Raaz. This film is actually a reboot, since it just refreshes our memories of previous Raaz series. It does not bring any novelty in the horror genre from Bhatt Camp. As in all the Bhatt films, the music in this film is really great, which is the only solace. But the songs are not interspersed properly in the screenplay. This horror flick is very much clichéd. The beginning appeared to be promising, but just 15 minutes into the film, the plot seemed very much familiar. It is very easy to predict that who is the antagonist playing the evil spirit. And then the mantras and tantras to drive away the spirits begin, entry of extortionist to kick out the spirit, all looked so much familiar. The film begins with Rehaan (Gaurav Arora) and Shaina (Kriti Kharbanda) relocating to Romania from Mumbai. It was Kriti's insistence that Rehaan should take the new job offer in Romania. Rehaan was not at all keen to take up this offer and shift to Romania, but he finally decides to relocate. This is where he had first met Kriti five years ago, fallen in love, proposed her and decided to get married. The initial shots itself make it clear that there were some strong reasons for Rehaan's uncomfortability in relocating back to Romania. There is some secret behind this. Though they shift, the difference of opinion between Rehaan and Shaina does strain their relationship (this was so illogically portrayed). Then the story unfolds further and gets into predictive mode. Shaina gets to see somebody in the house, she starts feeling the presence of someone in and around her. She is sure that the house is haunted. Various regular patterns of evil spirit's appearance along with special background music follows. Shaina finds it difficult to make Rehaan believe. But Aditya, her ex-boyfriend (Emraan Hashmi) believes Shaina. Together they try to find out answers to their queries. How the identity of the evil spirit is explored? Who is the evil spirit and what is its motive? What could be the secret of Rehaan ? What is the role of Aditya in this film ? How does Rehaan ultimately believe Shaina ? There is no second opinion that one would not find any challenge in finding responses to these queries, since the plot itself is very much predictable. You might have seen all these in previous films of Raaz series – Raaz, Raaz-The Mystery Continues and Raaz 3D. The performance by Kriti is average. Gaurav and Emraan have comparatively lesser screen time but they are good, although nothing much to do. Raaz Reboot is actually a reboot, since it just refreshes our memories of previous Raaz series – Raaz, Raaz-The Mystery Continues and Raaz 3D. It does not bring any novelty in the horror genre from Bhatt Camp. Watch it only if horror intrigues you, but beware of not getting scared at all.

After a long break, horror movie lovers can slightly wet their tongue in satisfaction.
ankitcom17 September 2016
Vikram Bhatt's direction style has become outdated. He hasn't changed a bit, but still manages to build a nice excitement that feels good. I still stand by my statement that Vikram Bhatt is the only Indian horror movie specialist surviving. Every actor has performed above average and it's a well-made product. After a long break, horror movie lovers can slightly wet their tongue in satisfaction.

Great horror flick ....Romantic..mystery & SCARY!
raazreboot22 September 2016
Wow wow wow!! I've never been much of a fan of sequels but The Raaz Reboot was incredible. I'm never one to jump at everything 'scary' I see in movies as usually you've seen it all before & let's be honest, nothing really scares you much when your not a teenager anymore. However Raaz 1 had me jumping all over the place. At one point I even yelped, much to my embarrassment, but that's why we go to horror movies! To be scared & the Raaz Reboot didn't disappoint. All actors gave amazing performances & the story had you never in a state of boredom. Walking out of the cinema I couldn't wait to see what The Raaz 5 would bring! (Assuming we're lucky enough for another). Definitely a movie to see in the cinema. I give it 10/10!! Great movie!!The flow of the movie was good and the sound effects and spooky elements were on point!

It ain't no reboot of Raaz but another version of 1920 London. A good one.
Fella_shibby18 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I saw this film in theatre with my family. It is not a Raaz reboot, it's basically a reboot of Sharman Joshis 1920 London, which was pathetic n laughable. Read my reviews of 1920 London. Vikram Bhatt jus wrote the story of 1920 London. It had a very low budget. It had awful set locations, fake deserts n mansions, bad direction by some Desai, awful songs n unknown producers. Even the costumes of Sharmaan n others were laughable. Very fake London set up. Whereas Vikram directed Raaz reboot himself. The Bhatts n T- series r the producers n of course it has Hashmi who is born to play such roles effortlessly. The cinematography in Raaz reboot was good. Some of the scenes of Romania were well shot n it had that creepy feel to it. The editing was better than 1920 London n the songs of Raaz reboot were much better than 1920 London. The plot of 1920 London was ridiculous. At least the plot of Raaz reboot was bearable. At first even I thot that the twist might be the same as 1920 London's. I thot even Hashmi was doing some mumbo jumbo magic like what Sharmaan did in 1920 London. Agree that the theme of possession has been done so many times, right from The exorcist to The rite. One thing which always bugs me in possession movies (as a gym/yoga instructor) is y do they hav to do hyperextension of the joints. R the demons really fond of yoga? The face of the possessed person is getting monotonous. Same ol cut marks n eye color. May b Vikram wanted to do the same what the makers of Exorcist the beginning n Exorcist the dominion did. Two versions in a short span of time. The scene in Raaz where the possessed tells to the priest about his hidden dark secrets was done in the first 1920 too, where the demon talks to the doctor about his shady past. This kinda demonic feeding on fears n revealing secrets was very well done in Gallows hill aka The damned. The holding of the mangalsutra n getting rid of the demons is getting cheesy n too fake man. Remove the religious tone man. Y can't they simply end with the demons taking away one soul or somebody sacrificing their soul. The scenes of the dark shadows standing far away n the scenes of Hashmi as a ghost talking to the husband in the end were better. The museum where they had some horror images was good. Wanna visit that place if it really exists.

Nothing new, but still has all the stuffs which a horror movie should have.
srivardhanms9 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I am not a fan of Vikram Bhat or his movies. He is like Sehwag, you don't know when he clicks! And in this movie Vikram Bhat has not clicked! He has got out for a single digit! The concept of movie is exorcism, which is very popular in horror genre. So there is nothing new in it. Now, there is concept, you need a story around it. The story should have some twist and it should have Indianness in it! Writing a story around this concept is pretty simple, make protagonist commit some mistake and then pay for it. What is the mistake? That is secret! Raaz you see... Now there needs to be a twist in the tale, so make viewers believe that its the same old story (I mean mistake). The protagonist had some relationship and he had messed something like that, but then after the interval make viewers realize that is not the mistake! Voila, got the twist! The next checkpoint is to make it look Indian. You see, exorcism is not Indian, but the story is woven around it! So what to do? Simple, instead of a Christian reciting from Bible make some person recite Vishnu Stotra! Voila, tick on this too! The script is ready. Now, coming to the casting. How can Vikram Bhat leave Emraan Hashmi! Well that is only good decision Vikram Bhat has made while making this movie! It's a horror movie, so you need some scary stuffs isn't it! There are plenty of movies in English which shows scary stuff! Why not take it from there! Yes, that is exactly what Vikram Bhat has done. Make the body twist, turn in some weird angle and make it float in the air! Increase the volume suddenly, show some eye or some part of the body suddenly to make you shiver! Yes, this movie has all this! Now, reading this, you might feel, "Well, this movie seems to have all the stuffs which a horror movie should have!" Yes, it does. If you have nothing better to do, then go and watch this movie. It's a time pass movie. First half is slow, I almost fell asleep, but second half is watchable. But don't expect anything new from this. Everything in the movie is stale. If you have watched other English horror movies like Exorcist, Exorcism of Emily rose etc, then you feel like killing yourself! Am not kidding, you can try it!

Awesome movie nice Location...nice story...super Horror movie...story line too good...far far better than 1920 Series...had a nice time...worth watching with friends. Very good thrilling experience and it kept audience on the edge of the seat where all are curious about next scene. This movie is perfect in what it tries to achieve. It creates a perfect horror atmosphere, with a typical creepy musical score. This is one of the rare real scary Bollywood movies ever made. Raaz Reboot is an unique and original horror movie.Overall very well directed movie. Great movie! Acting was great!! Location was too good! People should go for the movie!!

Another 'The Exorcist' rip-off
labeebster2 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was trying to avoid this movie because Raaz 3 was so perfect. I didn't want to watch a sequel that was less good than the masterpiece that was Raaz 3. But of course when you like a series, you don't want to miss any part so I knew, eventually I would have to watch it. Prior to watching this movie, I had read that Butt's '1920' was inspired by the 'The Exorcist'. I didn't see many similarities in that movie with the latter as much I did with this one. One of the very few interesting things in this movie was that this time Emran Hashmi was the one playing as the main antagonist. However it wasn't unexpected. I started to feel he was evil the moment he went out with the female lead. Overall it was an OK movie.

A hidden surprise, I underestimated it
designercandlesu12 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Given the recent track record of Vishesh Films and horror the poor go at genre from Hindi Movie Industry, I avoided this at all cost when this came out. However during lockdown, and desperate for entertainment, decided to give this a go, and Tbh it is not bad at all. Reminded me of early 2000 movies as far as music is concerned and the acting is not bad either in comparison to other crap. I knew from the point Hashmi was introduced that he is the spirit and is possessing the girl (given his obsessive and cruel past they show). Gaurav's acting being a new comer is good and the dubbing artist Viraj (?) assists the actor very well. Overall the music and the storyline and direction is good. I will recommend a Bollywood fan of 2000s movies to watch it.

P.S. I am an absolute horror movie addict. Will watch at least 3 in a week, so if I am impressed, that says something:-)
