Must Watch 2 get JAILInsight & Importance of Freedom
ambuj_boom21 October 2017
Fabulously directed, well screen played and All Actress (onscreen characters) from Jailer to Maskini, Ruhi,Sanju Bindu,Ogo(African),Russian to Constable in fact big and Small , every1 acted Very Well. There have been many films which have Highlighted Plight of convicts/ UT(Undet Trials), but this movies not only showcased darks sides of jail but also UT's. Though escape & performing band was little melodramatic and far from pragmatic reality but still Bollywood movies have this especial flavor attached to it. Movies may make U ponder over the hardship that present UT may have been going through due to lack of Justice facilities, Trails , dates, Expensive and Genuine Lawyers and omnipresent corruption in Jails both in Bharat and Abroad. Such movies authenticate the value of FREEDOM which me & U R enjoying. HOpe U wud like it Fabulous well crafted Direction, acting ,etc

Capsule Review: Qaidi Band
nairtejas15 November 2017
The plot of Qaidi Band is far-fetched as it is, and director Habib Faisal takes it a few notches more into nonsensical grounds as he gets overwhelmed by the amateur performance of his cast masqueraded as over-performance. A group of under-trials is leading a life of misery in a central prison, where out of the blues, the warden one day decides to form a music band to appease the politicians. If you have already watched the rich man's version of this film, Lucknow Central (2017), you know what's cooking. A band is soon formed and unsuspecting pseudo criminals suddenly turn into talented musicians. While the first half is bearable, the second half floods the lid off this over- exaggerated and illogical drama. Qaidi Band, as a film, is too far off from reality, almost to a point where you can push it into the genre of fantasy. Lead actors Aadar Jain and Anya Singh don't have feathers to fly, that's all. With enough pressure from whoever introduced them to the Tinseltown, supported by a weak direction, both of them stumble over their own inexperience. Director Faisal is known for his risky casting and explosive plots, but Qaidi Band is just a damp squib with nothing realistic to offer. At the end, you would wonder, is this a social commentary on the plight of under-trials in the country or a film about a rock band? (Neither.) TN.

Story & Message 10/10
faisal-sadaqat20 September 2019
I thought this movie was like Lucknow Central (also jail band movie), hence I took forever to watch it.

But when I did, the story & message in it FORCED me to give 10/10.

It's about jail time, innocence and JUSTICE above all !!

A MUST WATCH !!

Don't miss it
street_22126 August 2017
The film revolves arounds the life of undertrials in Indian jails. Fresh for Indian movies and something that producers like Aditya Chopra would not do otherwise. Habib Faisal is back with another bunch of fresh actors, but this time they don't really look like fresh actors. Power packed performances by all seven of them but Anya Sigh stands out of all. Brilliant tight screenplay. Music could have been much better considering it as a musical film but it wont upset you. Somewhere romance in the story seems lacking and the transition of Sanju (Aadar Jain) from being a pessimist to an optimistic guy is all of sudden. Too much of punjabi used in the film to keep it real but subtitles could have helped. Anyway overall this one is fresh out of the box. Low marketing might hit the film but its defiantly a must watch. Long way to go Anya.

Must watch!
narayan-aiming28 July 2021
The movie is well directed and has very important message to share with society. The way undertrails are living their life's in the jail without any conviction is frightening and shocking.

Every person deserves freedom and it's birthright..
