The basic sin - it is too, too long. And you have the impression, maybe fake, than this is a motif of a large embroidery of improvisations. It is beautiful and dark and cold and well crafted in many parts. The cinematography is well and the story, if you ignore the twists, is real nice. But this puzzle has the sin to propose too many aspects, desiring say everything. Or the story is simple, fragile, powerful and coherent , great without any ornament. A film about loneliness in foreign country, isolated, atractted by new traditions, slices of magical realism, Orthodoxy and pressure, a film about love and trust . Short, beautiful, mysterious, dark, bitter. And , in some measure, profound useful for the proposed questions.
