- The film contains a sex scene where a man roughly mounts a woman. The scene lasts about 10 seconds. The man's rear is graphically seen.
- Elisa strips completely naked in the first five minutes of the film when she gets in the tub. Her breasts, butt, and pubic hair (no genitalia is visible) are seen. She proceeds to lift her leg up on the side of the tub. It is implied that she is starting to masturbate. Only her pleasured expression and her hand moving up and down are shown.

- The movie is bloody and features some monster violence.

- The main characters are in danger and in hiding during a large portion of the film.
- The Amphibian Man's appearance may be unsettling to some, but he is shown to be kind to those who are kind to him.

- The creature (male) and Elisa have implied sex on two occasions. Her butt and breasts are briefly seen as well as the male genitalia is discussed but not seen.
Violence & Gore
- A man is slashed across the throat by a monster, causing blood to pour through his fingers.
- A man squeezes pus out of his decaying, re-attached fingers. The fingers eventually turn black, and he painfully rips his severed fingers off in front of a husband and wife. Blood squirts everywhere and there are graphic ripping and cracking noises. He throws the fingers onto the floor.
- A woman and monster are shot at the same time
- A man is shot in the chest twice and then once through the face. Blood sprays and covers a wall. Bloody bullet holes are seen on both of his cheeks and blood is pouring everywhere. Another man than inserts his fingers into the holes and drags the wounded man away, where he shoves his fingers into the chest wounds and tortures the man with a cattle prod. Very bloody.
- A small shootout occurs after a man is shot through the cheeks. One man is shot in the head with graphic blood spray, another is then shot twice with blood spraying and splattering all over a car's windows.
- A man's throat is slashed open by the monster. Blood squirts out everywhere and the man slowly dies. Very bloody.

- As a scare tactic a man removes his rotting fingers from his hand in front of someone.
