What Happened To The Cast Of Brothers & Sisters?
Image
ABC's hit show "Brothers & Sisters" aired between 2006 and 2011. The show followed the Walker family, the wealthy owners of a food company headed by recently widowed matriarch Nora Walker (Sally Field). Nora has many children -- the titular brothers and sisters -- and fans fell in love with all of those competing personalities that still managed to love one another fiercely at the end of the day.

The series was almost quite different. The show's original pilot was instead focused on the family's father, which would've led "Brothers & Sisters" down a different path. Then someone had an idea: What if they kill dad? And what if they bring in Field to take over? "They wanted to look at this big American family that had a very strong father figure, a real patriarchal family, but that over the process of time became a matriarchal family, where the women became the strong voices,...

‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper Improvised the Funniest Moment of This ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Episode
Image
Remember, boys, Da’ Maniac loves you like you’re his own — so it’s probably for the best that the cops took him away.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been blessed to host so many incredible guest stars and celebrity cameos throughout the years, but only one A-lister who graced the set of the show was so good that the cast feared for both their and his safety: the late, great Roderick George Toombs, better known by his WWE stage name, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. On multiple episodes of Always Sunny, the professional wrestling legend played Da’ Maniac, an unhinged, emotional and entirely hilarious amateur wrestler whom the Gang hires and nervously befriends shortly before the police drag him away for his unpaid parking tickets.

Piper made his It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia debut in the classic Season Five episode “The Gang Wrestles for the Troops,” and in the...

Maniac Cop (1988) – What Happened to This Horror Movie?
Image
A brutal killer is stalking the streets of New York City; a man dressed as a police officer. He lures victims in with a false sense of security, traps them with the authority an officer of the law commands, and he murders them, whether they’re guilty or innocent. It took a couple of genre icons to get this idea into production and more icons to deal with the threat on the screen. This is the story of Maniac Cop, and we’re going to find out what happened to this horror movie.

It all began with the 1980 slasher Maniac. The mainstream feature directorial debut of William Lustig, the film caught a lot of attention when it was released, especially for the shocking moments of violence, featuring Tom Savini gore effects. Lustig followed that up with the 1982 action thriller Vigilante, which gained a cult following, but wasn’t a financial success at first.

Looky-loo (2025) Review
Image
Weird on Top Pictures, makers of Straight Edge Kegger and Night Terror, bring a stripped-back serial killer flick with their new release Looky-Loo.

Directed by Jason Zink and written by Nolan Mihail, the film follows a stalker’s escalation to serial killing through his own documentation of his crimes. His obsession with film and the women he terrorizes results in an uncomfortably intimate found footage gem.

The opening shots are somewhat serene as the setting of a quiet, cute town is established. That serenity quickly halts and the creep factor shoots up with every step Looky-loo takes. It feels like you are following people around, to their homes, and trying to open their doors. The voyeuristic ick becomes even more intense as Looky-loo records his own workspace.

This is a very slow-burn horror film. Clocking in at just over an hour and 20 minutes, I wouldn’t say it’s the...

How The Monkey's Strange Celebrity Cameos Shake Up The Gory Horror Movie
Image
Spoilers for "The Monkey" follow.

If there's anything more bonkers than the bloody exits people make in Osgood Perkins' new movie, "The Monkey," it's the surprising stars that enter it. Through this nightmarish adaptation of the short Stephen King story, a trail of blood, guts, and darkly hilarious accidents befall poor twins Hal and Bill (both played by Theo James), who are haunted by a toy monkey playing the drums.

It's nothing new for some impressive A-listers to find themselves in a story from Stephen King. Morgan Freeman, Kathy Bates, and Jack Nicholson, to name a few, have all got caught up in either the supernatural or the naturally human stories of the legendary author's works. Now while James might take center stage here, there are three fairly big talents that also get briefly caught in the grip of the monkey.

Elijah Wood movies: 12 greatest films ranked worst to best
Image
To many, he will always be Frodo Baggins, the brave little furry-footed hobbit who volunteers to bear the burden of carrying the dreaded One Ring as he leaves his bucolic existence behind while sacrificing himself to save Middle-earth in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy.

But Elijah Wood has had quite a varied career beyond the Shire ever since he made his film debut at 8-years-old with a small part as Video Game Boy #2 in 1989’s “Back to the Future Part II.” He would go on to land the coveted central role in the epic fantasy franchise based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s enduring classic when he was 18. But his early output on the big screen consisted of a string of so-so ‘90s titles such as “Radio Flyer,” “Paradise” and “Forever Young.” However, he often earned praise for his part in even mediocre projects.

But when he reached his teens, Wood...

Scott Chambers gives info on Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 and Alice the Mad
Image
We had heard that director Rhys Frake-Waterfield and producer Scott Jeffrey Chambers were planning to create a cinematic universe with the Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey films and other horror movies inspired by children’s stories, like Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, Bambi: The Reckoning, and Pinocchio Unstrung. Then, Jagged Edge Productions and ITN Studios officially announced that this cinematic universe, which is being referred to as The Twisted Childhood Universe, is building up to the crossover movie Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble, which will be released in 2025. Chambers has said that the Mad Hatter will be one of the “worst of the worst” in Poohniverse, and during an interview with Screen Rant he took a moment to talk about the Mad Hatter horror movie Alice the Mad, as well as the upcoming Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 – which is actually a Tigger solo movie!

When asked about what...

Image
Fans of the public domain plundering Poohniverse, or Twisted Childhood Universe, have been treated to some more details about “Phase 2” of the project, and in particular the version of Alice in Wonderland that will inhabit the corrupted and depraved world of killer bears and child-snatching residents of Neverland. For those who don’t want to go down the rabbit hole…and other dank places…turn away now.

The Twisted Childhood Universe seemed to begin life as a quick cashgrab around Winnie the Pooh entering the public domain in 2022. Now, three years on and we are on the cusp of another entry in the franchise that has turned into its own Marvel Cinematic Universe, with just a fraction of the budget and featuring a load of hideous interpretations of some much-loved characters from children’s literature.

While we already know that Pooh, Piglet, and Tigger are going to be joined by Bambi,...

Alice In Wonderland Horror Movie Story Details Confirmed By Poohniverse Director In Big Tcu Update
Image
Scott Chambers (Aka Scott Jeffrey), producer of the Twisted Childhood Universe (Tcu) films, reveals exciting new details about his upcoming horror movie Alice the Mad. This film is set to take a darker, twisted approach to Lewis Carroll's classic Alice in Wonderland, making it a major addition to the growing universe. The franchise, which puts horror spins on beloved children's tales, began with Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey and has only expanded over the years. The next installment, Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare, will be released in theaters for three days, from January 13 through January 15.

According to an interview with ScreenRant's Liam Crowley, Chambers' prior announcement of Alice the Mad comes as part of a broader plan to expand the Tcu beyond the upcoming crossiver Poohniverse: Monsters Assembled. In an update about the whole cinematic universe, Chambers expressed confidence in the ongoing success of the franchise, with several sequels and spinoffs already in the pipeline.

Neon is continuing to stake its claim in the horror genre as a production company willing to push boundaries in an unconventional manner. Following the immense success of director Osgood Perkins' Longlegs, starring Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage, Neon is trusting Perkins to make another cannon-ball-sized splash at the box office with his upcoming adaptation of a Stephen King short story, The Monkey. The 12 Best Movies About Real-Life Serial Killers, Ranked
Image
Real-life serial killers have inspired countless films and TV shows. For instance, "Psycho," "The Texas Chainsaw Saw Massacre," and "The Silence of the Lambs" are all downstream from Ed Gein, the Wisconsin factotum who committed murder, grave robbery, and other grisly crimes during the mid-1950s. These may be great films but they are all strictly inspired by serial killers rather than about them. This article considers those films that depict killers' lives close to how they were rather than creating composite characters and other inventions. It also includes films that may not be entirely faithful to the historical record but are compelling enough to give an insight into real-world killers and their crimes.

These movies aim to capture balanced insight into their subjects. Some, like "Monster," show how abuse begets abuse, whereas others, such as "Citizen X," reflect how prejudice and ideology can allow a criminal to kill unchecked.

Never Let Go Review: Halle Berry Lends Her Oscar-Winning Bonafides to Post-Apocalyptic Thriller

A founding member of the “New Extremity” movement that brought French horror filmmakers to the attention of international audiences in the early oughts, writer-director Alexandre Aja parlayed his fearless, uncompromising approach to the horror genre into a filmmaking career into an international career outside of his native France. Beginning with a promising collaboration with Wes Craven, the 1976 remake of The Hills Have Eyes, through middling efforts and the one-off standout, Piranha 3D, Aja overcame mid-career stagnancy with Crawl, a bloody, gory, pulpy “animals amok” eco-horror. Aja’s latest horror film, Never Let Go, shifts the setting from the alligator-filled, riverside Florida town of Crawl or the terrors of outer space in Aja’s last film, Oxygen, to a post-apocalyptic forest somewhere in the...

Julia Garner Senses Evil Forces in Trailer for ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ Prequel Film ‘Apartment 7A’
Image
Julia Garner’s new home is not quite what she expected in the first trailer for Paramount+’s Rosemary’s Baby prequel feature, Apartment 7A.

The psychological horror movie from director Natalie Erika James hits the streaming service and digital VOD on Sept. 27. The cast includes Dianne Wiest, Kevin McNally, Jim Sturgess, Marli Siu, Andrew Buchan, Rosy McEwen and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith.

Apartment 7A focuses on Terry Gionoffrio (Garner), an aspiring dancer in New York City who suffers an injury and moves into a luxury apartment building called the Bramford with an affluent couple (Wiest and McNally). After a Broadway producer (Sturgess) offers her a path to fame, Terry has an evening she can’t quite remember and suspects that something evil inhabits her apartment and the building itself.

“There’s something wrong with these people,” Garner says ominously in the trailer that shows her character’s concerns mounting.

Netflix could soon have streaming competition from... Chick-fil-a?
Image
Chick-fil-a+. How does that sound? Is it catchy? That might just be the name of a new streaming service in the future. Yes, we're talking about the Chick-fil-a that serves some of the best chicken sandwiches and waffle fries you could ever eat!

The popular fast food restaurant chain is looking to join the streaming wars by launching its own streaming service. Who would've thought this would ever happen? We didn't see this coming at all. Like Netflix, Chic-fil-a will be creating original content as well as licensing and acquiring content for its streaming platform.

An official name for the streamer has not been announced yet, but the fast food company has reportedly been talking and working with major production companies on creating family-friendly, unscripted original shows. One show that's currently in the works and has been given a 10-episode order by Chick-fil-a is an upcoming game show from Glassman Media (The Wall) and Sugar23.

6 Serial Killer Movies from the Killer’s Perspective to Watch After ‘Trap’
Image
I think part of our collective fascination with serial killers comes from an empathetic desire to uncover exactly what needs to go wrong for a human being to snap and turn into a murderer. That’s why it makes sense that this form of morbid curiosity lies at the heart of so many successful horror stories, with countless genre filmmakers trying their best to explore the minds of predators.

And in honor of M. Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller expertly allowing us to see through the eyes of a cold-blooded murderer, we’ve decided to come up with a list highlighting six other serial killer movies told from the killer’s perspective. After all, there are plenty of interesting cinematic killers out there, and not all of them are as charming as Josh Hartnett in Trap.

As usual, don’t forget to comment below with your own murderous favorites if...

Mirrors (2008) Revisited – Horror Movie Review
Image
Before rewatching Mirrors (get it Here), I was a little confused as to why it’s either forgotten or, honestly, kind of hated on. It was one of those movies that I saw in theaters when it came out and then have clear memories of when it came to my Blockbuster for rent. It’s got a fun cast of reliables and was directed by one of the early 2000s freshest and goriest directors. The director has gone on to have a steady and varied career and his new movie starring Halle Berry called Never Let Go sounds as intriguing as ever. After watching Mirrors again, I still really enjoyed it, but I now understand why it has the reputation it has and why it’s perfect for a black sheep. Let’s take a look but maybe be wary of any mirrors that don’t look exactly right.
