Back scene music sacks
sevdakarababa-7107716 March 2019
Actually this tv series deserve at least 8 but because of high volume music behind the scenes just ruin the every episodes. I dont know where and how they learned this nonsense thing but i have to close the volume all the time. Guys we dont watch concert its a show and when you put this high volume back round music every scene its only make less beliveble and more annoying. Some Korean shows know how to use or not to use music like a hell. Most likely they are the ones very successful. Just use those music less volume or dont use at all

Daebak
janjohnson9000427 April 2016
Daebak is a historical drama with my favorite actor/musician Jang Geun Suk. Jang Geun Suk is Dae Gil, the one who should be the next KING!I watched episode 1 to episode 10. It's getting very exciting and I love it! I started to watch Daebak only because Jang Geun Suk is one of the main character. He is so handsome in this drama. If you watched Hwang Jin Yi, Hong Gil Dong, You're Beautiful. Your going to love this drama. He is an excellent actor who brings out the exciting part of the drama. I just finished watching episode 10 and I can't wait for it! This takes place in Joseon. Jang Geun Suk (Dae Gil) has to learn martial art from somebody who lives in the mountain. Obviously, he has to live in the mountain and only eat natural food he finds in the mountain. So far, I love the drama. But, I love the actor Jang Geun Suk the actor. He is the right person for this role. So, it's a must watch drama from Korean Drama I have seen this year.

Having enjoyed Six Flying Dragons, this looked to be interesting. However episode 2 switched me off pretty soon. The Joseon king seems to me to be someone who should be either dethroned or transformed for the better for his kingdom, and someone seeking this has managed to get a common law wife into the king's harem, but the son she births is not the king's but by her earlier common law husband and inveterate gambler. Will he be entitled as prince, or quietly disposed of? Will he bring conflict to the throne? I'd rather miss story progression than face further abuse, but for those not perturbed by the F-word it could be a fascinating series.

Didn't hit the jackpot
Park_Min16 December 2023
A strong, solid and gripping introduction that captured the expected theme perfectly, accompanied with thrilling gambling scenes. Choi Min Soo instantly pulled all the attention to himself. He did such an amazing job embodying this harsh intimidating king. However, it wasn't all sunshine and roses, most of the glamorous elements that made the drama attractive were evaporated after 3 episodes. A handful of useless characters may come and go. The gambling became a secondary plot device. Stretching the drama thin and long by introducing three mini-bosses like an anime arc. The main lead was equipped with impervious plot armor eliminating the tension and risks. He may suffer irrecoverable fatal damage just to be resurrected from the depths of hell because the drama can't continue otherwise. A handful of other writing problems that kept holding the drama back sprinkled throughout. The only character that remained interesting was King Suk Jong, waiting desperately for his next scene of which they were scarce for a main lead. Yeo Jin Goo should stop picking up king/historical roles, he might be one drama away from being entrapped in typecasting hell forever.
