A Good action-thriller(comparing with movies around the globe)! Best in Bengali movie history!!!
Story: Good story. Not extraordinary, but still good. At some point it was very understandable what is going to happen(for those who regularly watch Hollywood movies). But, most of the time it was thrilling. It will make you ask what's gonna happen? Who? How? 22/30 for story.
Background Sound: Although some background sound was collected(For 10 to 15 minutes I assume ) from "inception", it was good(overall). I have to mention one thing... I didn't find the collected sounds well executed...(Maybe its because I heard those before). Adding to this, I must say... I was pleased with the own background sounds of "Dhaka Attack". Those were really good which helped me to stay thrilled while watching. The song 'Tikatolir More' was good as it added some plot... but other songs were unnecessary in such a good thriller(Its okay, I understand that casual Bengali viewers need some romantic songs in a film doesn't matter what type of film it is... -_-). 'Tup Tap' song depicted that the lead male character and female character is building up an romantic interest for each other while he was driving her home, This could have been shown in some other way... the song was not needed(The song is good as a song/music video but totally unnecessary in the plot). 'Poth je dake' was good when it was played but could have been better in its music because I personally felt that it failed to create enough emotion in the audience for which the song was... In other hand, they could just skip that song... enough emotion was created by the plot already... 15/20 for Background music and songs.
Cast: Taskeen bhai was just awesome. Some villain Bengali movie industry hasn't seen before. His appearance, acting, dialogue-delivery everything was just perfect... He has an influence of the 'Greatest Hollywood villain' The Joker... and I liked it. 9/10 for him.
Arefin Shuvo and ABM Sumon was really good at their part... AC Abid and SWAT leader Ashfaq respectively. 8/10 for both...
Nawshaba 7/10 Mahi 6.5/10 Wadud shaheb 7.5/10
Other supporting characters were good. That fatty cameraman of Chaity and 'Double' officer with Abid was funny. The gangsters were good too, I liked that 'Chatgaiya(from Chittagang)' stolen-car dealer. The police officer(can't recall the character name) at training in Malaysia was good too along with the Malay officers... He seemed like a real officer... is he? Anyway, my overall rating for the title's cast is 15/20
Filming: I really liked the way camera shifted from one scene to another... its something new in Bengali film which is well executed in 'Dhaka Attack'. The way they shot inside a bomb, Liked it. Angles were also good. 9/10
Editing: VFX was not up to the mark.. but okay(chole) considering the budget. 7/10
Direction: 8/10 for overall Direction. Best wishes for Dipankar Dipon sir and "Dhaka Attack Xtreme"
Total: 76/100
If you compare Dhaka Attack with only Bengali films... this one deserves 9/10 or might even 10/10! If you compare it with Hindi films... its 8/10. Comparing with English(Hollywood films)... its 6.5/10.
Whatever it is, you should watch it to feel the change in Bengali films... Its changing... more precisely, its upgrading. Thank you :)
