When your hero got bleeded, blood trait will be left by the hero since you never bandage the hero. When the hero arrive at death door and getting smash, slash, and splatter or dismember by the boss/monster instead of randomly disappearing.

The weakest part of the game in terms of violence is the main gameplay, the game is a typical strategy and therefore there are no pronounced scenes here. During the attack, you see damage figures and vivid effects, often bloodstains appear on the enemy during the attack, but without any detailed scenes of mutilation.

In gameplay, violence is quite limited, the characters are practically motionless during battles, and splashes of blood are drawn, but violence in the plot and cutscenes is much more pronounced and cruel, often quite vivid and disgusting.

The game often features characters with pronounced injuries, they may be covered in blood, they may also be missing any part of the body, as well as have wounds, scars, partially decomposed body parts, rotting flesh, and so on. This makes the game even more creepy and disgusting.

Very mild written swear words like "damn" can be shown when players miss an attack or in similar cases.

Getting drunk is a game mechanic to reduce the characters' stress.

This is a tense, creepy game featuring horrible monsters and mature themes including mental diseases. Not suitable for teens.

After you enter the darkest dungeon mission the game will try to play tricks on you. Sometimes your characters will have demonic looking faces but when you scroll on them they appear normal. You'll get these flash glimpses of demonic presences.
