It’s hard to believe it’s been over a year since Scandoval sent Vanderpump Rules from a dead show to one of the most-talked-about shows of 2023.
As the series gears up for the final episodes of Vanderpump Rules Season 11, the topic on cast members’ minds remains Scandoval, and the show is struggling to move on from the scandal.
Despite continued strong ratings, Bravo has made a controversial decision about the series’ future.
Instead of filming getting underway in the summer as prior seasons have done, the show has been put on pause by the network.
TMZ first reported the news, and while shows like The Real Housewives of Dallas and Family Karma have been paused for years, it isn’t expected to last long for Vanderpump Rules.

On March 21, 2006, The Real Housewives of Orange County premiered, not knowing it would lead the way to a franchise that would solidify Bravo’s position as a reality show powerhouse.
Vicki Gunvalson yelling in her driveway about getting a family fan to take her to the airport didn’t live up to her standards of luxury, and the crazy antics of housewives were born.
As The Real Housewives franchise turns 18, executive producer Andy Cohen honored the housewives’ legacy in television history.
“I didn’t know then how that show- and over a hundred incredible women over ten-plus spinoffs – would change pop culture, and my life!” Cohen shared on Instagram celebrating Rhoc. “Thank You To The Housewives for all you give us, and to the incredible production teams at Evolution, Shed Media, Truly Original, Sirens Media, & Purveyors of Pop.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie Annemarie Wiley has reflected on her first season as the finale nears.
Annemarie has had a tough season, that’s for sure, earning a slew of backlash from Rhobh fans over her job and clashing with the other ladies in the group.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, The Real Housewives of Dallas alum Tiffany Moon clapped back at Annemarie for comments she made about the Asa during her Watch What Happens Live appearance.
Along with criticism about her job title, Annemarie has taken flak for being obsessed with Sutton Stracke’s small esophagus.
The reality TV star set the record straight on that hot topic recently, but apparently, she didn’t put it to bed.
During a recent interview with E! News correspondent Justin Sylvester, Annemarie was asked about it again.

There’s another Real Housewives feud brewing thanks to a recent Watch What Happens Live episode.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Annemarie Wiley defended her job as a Crna while calling out the American Society of Anesthesiologists on the show.
Annemarie’s remarks caught the attention of The Real Housewives of Dallas alum Tiffany Moon, a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Tiffany blasted Annemarie for saying the “Asa doesn’t love CRNAs” during her Wwhl appearance.
“The Asa doesn’t ‘not love CRNAs’ or care that you’re on a reality show bringing more attention to your profession. They care when CRNAs misrepresent themselves as physicians or use terminology to intentionally mislead the public to believe that they are anesthesiologists,” Tiffany wrote.
The former Rhod star went on to warn Annemarie while also showing her appreciation for her colleagues.

Jennifer Lawrence is a die-hard Bravo fan, and during her appearance at the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday she praised The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City for its shocking Season 4 finale.
“I just want to give a shout-out to the best finale I have ever seen on reality TV,” Lawrence said during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “It was amazing.”
The finale of the Bravo reality series had star Heather Gay exposing her co-star Monica Garcia for her involvement in an Instagram account that trolled the Rhoslc personalities over the years.
Lawrence said that she was “a couple days late” watching the finale of the Salt Lake City-based show, but thanks to the group chats with her friends realized she “had to see this now.”
“I was stone-cold sober because I was starving for this event,” she said while looking straight at the camera and referencing her diet for the Globes.

There are no plans for The Real Housewives of Dallas to return to Bravo in 2022, leaving the futures of Season 5 stars Dr. Tiffany Moon, Kary Brittingham, Stephanie Hollman, Brandi Redmond, D’Andra Simmons and Kameron Westcott hanging in the balance.
“There are currently no plans to bring The Real Housewives of Dallas back next year, and beyond that, nothing official has been decided,” Bravo told Deadline in a statement Tuesday.
It’s unknown why the reality series is being put on hold, though Season 5 proved to be controversial after an old video of Redmond was unearthed where she mocked Asian Americans. Moon, who was born outside Beijing, was one of the many Aapi actors who called Redmond out. Redmond later apologized.
Moon was also subjected to social media bullying from the family of co-star Westcott, accusing her of being racist. Bravo stood by Mood amid the melee.

“The Real Housewives of Dallas” will not film this year, and a new season of the show will not air on Bravo in 2022, the network has confirmed to Variety.
“There are currently no plans to bring ‘The Real Housewives of Dallas’ back next year, and beyond that nothing official has been decided,” a spokesperson at Bravo said Tuesday.
Though Bravo currently has no plans to go back into production on the show, “The Real Housewives of Dallas” has not been officially canceled, because Bravo rarely does that: In the “Real Housewives” universe, only the one-season “Real Housewives of D.C.” was officially canceled. Even “The Real Housewives of Miami,” which ended in 2013 after three seasons, is now being revived eight years later for Peacock, the NBC Universal streaming service.
But the low-rated “Real Housewives of Dallas” had a fraught, sour fifth season, which prompted Bravo to put it aside for now.

There are ostensibly three trajectories for alumni of the “Real Housewives” franchise: bankruptcy, jail and in the more successful of cases, a slew of entrepreneurial ventures targeted at the stars’ loyal fanbases. On the heels of the Season 11 premiere of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” there’s no better time than now to try out all the best housewives-made products… or the ones that have survived, at least.
Some wives have charted surprisingly viable paths for themselves on the backs of their reality stardom, such as “The Real Housewives of New York City” star Bethenny Frankel and Beverly Hills’ Lisa Vanderpump. A handful of other housewives, however, never made it past a plot-line on the show.

Dr. Tiffany Moon, a new addition to Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Dallas” in its recently completed fifth season, had to deal with a lot of difficult things on camera, especially as a working doctor during the Covid-19 pandemic and as an Asian American woman during this year of hate crimes and violence toward the Aapi community.
But this week, Moon faced something unprecedented: She was subjected to racist bullying online by the family of one of her fellow cast members, Kameron Westcott. In tweets, Kameron Westcott’s husband, Court, and her brother-in-law, Chart, attacked Moon on Twitter. Court Westcott, who has since deactivated his Twitter account, decried the concept of “anti-racism,” called it racism, and compared the philosophy to World War II Germany. “I don’t understand how many of your patients would be comfortable with you treating them with your open vile racism,” he wrote in a since deleted tweet.

Dr. Tiffany Moon, the first Asian American cast member on “The Real Housewives of Dallas,” is talking candidly about the surge in violence against Asians and Pacific Islanders, and specifically Asian women.
According to the reporting forum Stop Aapi Hate, 3,800 incidents of anti-Asian hate were reported between March 2020 and February 2021, with women reporting twice as many incidents as men. Those figures were released just before the mass shooting at Asian massage parlors in the Atlanta area that left eight people dead, six of them Asian women, earlier this month.
“It really broke my heart because as a female minority, there is already so much that we have to deal with, and now these poor innocent women who were just working got murdered,” Moon told TheWrap’s deputy editor, Lawrence Yee.
“If you take Asian out of it, I think women in general — minority women, especially — are vulnerable and more likely...

Winter is the new fall this Covid-impacted TV season. Because of the lengthy production shutdown in the first months of the coronavirus pandemic, Fox and the CW delayed the rollout of their regular fall 2020 lineups, and a slew of other series intended for fall 2020 debut also are slated to premiere in early 2021 instead.
With uncertainty surrounding production as Covid outbreaks frequently pause filming, a number of premiere dates are still Tbd, as networks and streamers often wait until last minute to set debuts so they are sure than the new seasons would be completed successfully.
That said, here’s our annual list of midseason/winter premiere dates for new and returning series. It covers hundreds of broadcast, cable and streaming programs debuting from today through March 31 and includes shows that were on hiatus and some one-off specials such as awards shows.
Please send any additions or adjustments to erik@deadline.

Comcast and NBCUniversal are pushing Peacock out of the nest starting Wednesday, April 15, promising to unfurl a rich plume of 15,000-plus hours of streaming content, first for the cable giant’s own TV and internet customers.
Peacock is then slated to be available across the U.S. on July 15 — while NBCU is mulling the possibility of moving that up sooner — in various three tiers across mobile, web and connected-tv devices: paid with ads ($4.99 monthly); paid with no ads ($9.99 monthly); and completely free with ads with a truncated content lineup. With the national launch, Comcast (and Cox) subscribers also will have the option to get an ad-free version of the service for an additional $5 per month.
So what’s on the menu? Peacock will include live and on-demand content across current and past TV shows, movies, news, and late night programming, with some live sports once they resume post-pandemic. Most of...

With the coronavirus pandemic halting production on most television shows, networks are evaluating their programming slates — and Bravo is no exception. The cabler, best known for its “Real Housewives” franchise, must deal with a real-world pandemic on currently airing shows and those yet to come.
