The version of the American flag being brandished about by William Clark during the song "Eagle's Eyes" has 15 stripes and 15 stars. This is because in the year 1795, the number of stars and stripes on the flag was increased from its initial 13 (representing the original 13 colonies) to 15 to reflect the entry of Vermont and Kentucky into the Union. This remained the official flag until the year 1818.
The bold colors and stylized imagery of the film are inspired by Disney animated films and the Technicolor musicals of the 1950s.
Adapted from a 2011 webseries that was written and directed by its two leads Kevin Abrams and Jeremy Hoffman who reprise their roles of Lewis and Clark.
The name of Clark's wife (Emily) is an ongoing in-joke between writers Jeremy Hoffman and Kevin Abrams.
