Produced by the students of the Jefferson Community & Technical College's Communication Art Technology Program, as both a class project, and an entry into the "2014 My Rode Reel International Film Competition."
As John (Christopher Shiner) is walking into the church, a version of Panis Angelicus (Written by César Franck 1872) can be heard. This rendition was actually performed in the sanctuary of the church in which the film was shot, by director Herschel Zahnd in between takes. Zahnd wanted a Latin canter to play over this moment and could not find anything that suited. Once on set the, acoustics of the church's sanctuary were conducive to the sound Zahnd wanted so he decided to record the Hymn himself and use it for the film.
The first version of the script was written by Ezra Brown as a class assignment. It was turned in, hand written, on spiral bound notebook paper as she had forgotten about the assignment and woke early in the morning the day it was due, scrambling to complete the script to have "something" to turn in. Her teacher, Director Herschel Zahnd, liked the story so much he decided to use the film as a class project.
