A delightful return

This was a pretty solid episode. I think the highlight was probably having Fischer back. I was wondering what happened to him and it was really nice to see him. Especially that he is Dr. Fischer now.

I also found it fun the Booth's heritage finally came into play. We really haven't mentioned his relation to John Wilkes Booth since the earlier seasons. I also enjoyed watching him join the secret service. I found the shoot out scene to be very exciting.

As for the actual killer, I didn't love that he only killed because of a blood clot in his brain. It's never as fun when the killers do it on accident. It's very similar to when a kid is the killer, just not a satisfying ending.

Brennan being sick was stressing me out. In a COVID world, hearing her cough like that in public with out a mask was crazy. If she did that in 2022 I feel like she'd be getting a lot of odd looks from people.

Overall I'd say that this was a good episode with some fun storylines.

Best part: Fischer coming back, it was really great to see him again

Worst part: the unsatisfying ending to the killer.

Too Much Sputum

A Secret Service agent is murdered. A drunken young man finds him and then he is hit over the head. Soon, the Jeffersonian is teeming with Secret Service guys who will be monitoring the case. Low and behold, who should be substituting for a terribly ill Brennan but our old friend Fischer. He is the depressed, self doubting, but brilliant squint who now has his doctorate. Brennan coughs and wheezes through the whole episode. Booth eventually gets into the cadre of agents protecting the President, who is doing a drive through before the election. It turns out that there is an internal connection that is hard to investigate. Decent episode. Hodgins, now a paraplegic, performs and act of great courage. He is becoming his own person again.
