Sex & Nudity

  • A man and his doctor are very close in each other's personal space and it appears as though they may kiss or become intimate but they don't.
  • A woman gives birth on a tablet video. No nudity seen but she can be heard. We only see the baby when it is placed to lie on the mother.

Violence & Gore

  • A stronger scene is shown in the film depicting a man struggling, choking and coughing up blood. This scene is very graphic and bloody.
  • A man's finger is bent backwards and broken.
  • Several time blood drops/globs are seen floating around in the ship.
  • Several instances of corpses floating (non graphic - just a body)
  • The alien feeds on blood (kind of like a vampire bat). Not super graphic other than blood leaving the victim and floating around
  • A rat is kept "tied down" in the science room (no experimentation happens to him). It does eventually get attacked and "dissolved & digested" by the alien, its mildly graphic and intense but not super gory.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • While the violence in this movie in general is not that graphic compared to a lot of other horror films, it will definitely frighten younger children.
  • The creature itself is not quite as frightening as the Alien creature, but it is no less sinister or lethal.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • A rather large Calvin attacks the Soyuz crew. They can be seen struggling with globules of blood coming out of them.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The end can be frightening for some viewers because it could be the end of humanity and there will barely be survivors.
