Good seties, interesting premise

I am enjoying this series. The whole idea of heart memory is fascinating. I dont speak Spanish so subtitles arent an issue for me. It's not based on fact, its fiction so it's not a reflection on the Spanish police and hospitals. I am enjoying watching something thats not American.

Totally Enjoyable if Unbelievable Spanish Romp
alanl06-662-7702016 May 2020
I would really have loved to give this 7 or 8 on purely enjoyable rating but some of the plot lines are so silly ( needlessly so in my opinion ) that the viewer really has to suspend disbelief. I dont want to include spoilers as it is a really good watch if you can forgive some of the glaring mistakes . I will only mention one , of quite a few here ....so as not to spoil what is an enjoyable and worth watching series as long as you arent uber critical . I couldn't understand how someone who has a certain tattoo on his wrist and works closely with other people, can burn off that tattoo , which the police were looking for .......... and NOBODY NOTICED ??? All the same...well worth the watch even if you only want to pick holes in the script . I ENJOYED IT

Interesting premise but really bad editing and acting!

Warning: Spoilers
This is an interesting premise for a story i.e. that a transplant from someone else can transfer memories from the donor to the recipient. The problem is that it comes across more as a Spanish Telenovela rather than a thriller. The acting is pretty bad, really unbelievable, and the dialog is just silly, whether in Spanish of the translated subtitles. The editing in some of the episodes is very choppy, with some scenes lasting about 2 seconds before moving on to another, quite unrelated scene. By the middle of the series, one is tempted to think about skipping the episodes and just going to the end since the story is just dragged out by a series of very unbelievable events that makes the viewer concerned about how hospitals and police departments in Spain are run. The flashback scenes that are meant to depict what memories the recipient is seeing are overdone and become ridiculous after a while. As a series, it really does not lend itself to binge watching but maybe when it aired as a series of weekly episodes, it might have been more bearable to watch at that pace!

It will keep you breathless until the last minute!

I had my preconceptions about Spanish fiction, but this one is a gem within the thriller genre. The plot continuously twists and surprises the audience.

I have read complaints about the bad subtitles, that's a pity, but if you speak Spanish go for it.

The main actors performance is superb and very realistic.

Please watch it!!

Interesting plot spoilt by poor script writing

The plot is a bit far fetched but the thing that spoils this as a good thriller is the very poor depiction of the intelligence of the characters and as always the police are made to appear completely incompetent!

Even worst

I thought that "Mar de plástico" was bad, but this was even worst. Don´t waste your time! Poor story, poor actings, poor dialogues... And the end... OMG!

WARNING: Awful English subtitling translation
ophelia_hardin29 October 2017
My Spanish is barely passable but when the English subtitling appears to have been translated by an 8 year old, the distraction makes it almost impossible to enjoy the drama. Sadly, not an uncommon occurrence among foreign shows and though I may be in the minority because I speak a few languages, surely it can't be that expensive to hire translators who are actually fluent in both, or even multiple, tongues?

Even so, the plot is an old one, done by Karloff in the '30s if I recall correctly. This is a boring repetition of same, swaddled in color and fancy camera-work Don't waste your time.
