Seddulbahir 32 Saat is a historical event, usually known in the West as WWI Galipoli battle, where the Turks and their allies, the German Empire, gave a strong defeat to the British and Australian ( Anzacs ) Armies. There are a lot of movies made about this subject, the more famous Mel Gibson's movie, and more recently Russell Crowe's " the Water Diviner". On Turkey are all so a lot of movie versions about this subject. But none as achieved the drama intensity, the acting perfection and the detail reconstruction of the war battlefield and of the life at a Turkish country village and the last but not the least ,the human tension on the trench as this one. The parallel involvement of Mehmet Çevus family story,a common peasant living in a Turkish country village with their joys and their sorrows gave the sweet touch to this very dramatic event. A minor defect that I find on the movie is how the Anzac Army is shown. They seam a little bit loss as a group, as a bunch of kids. The art direction of these extras could be have done better. On the acting field Ibrahim Çelikkol, Murat Unalmis and Dolunay Soysert reached Top Class performances. The movie soundtrack written by Yildiray Gurgen is astonishing.
