Although this is just a trailer, I think that conceptually this short film is innovative. The black and white format highlighted the post civil war, civil rights movement in modern day Hancock, New York. The conflict between the protagonist brothers is visceral and asks the viewer to repeatedly ask themselves, "WTF is going on?!?" the plot, while non existent, was both basic and laid out simplistically from the first 3 seconds, yet intellectually unpredictable. The creatively artistic use of the midget, the goat and the can of spray cheese in the nude love scene was a nod back to days of Chaplin and turn of the 20th century American film noir...By today's standards it was both innovative and family friendly eroticism. All in all, a good trailer and I cannot wait for the sequel as well as the merchandising to hit stores for early Easter gift shopping....
