Way back in January of last year, I noticed a very distinct trend over in the DC Extended Universe. Much was being said about the likes of Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, The Flash, and Cyborg. Heck, there were even some rumors surrounding the eventual Green Lantern Corps flick. The CW had launched the Dawn of the Justice League special, which outlined the budding universe, but noticeably absent from it all was Shazam.

While not necessarily DC’s most well known character, the studio had, years prior, locked down Dwayne Johnson himself to take on the role of Black Adam. Why would they sign on such a talent if they were just going to let the project languish? It’s been about a year since, and little has changed. Sure, we got the occasional update of producer Hiram Garcia pretty much saying they were figuring things out,...

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is the latest film to get the Honest Trailer treatment from Screen Junkies. Calling it the “battle of the century between critics and fans,” the video starts off by noting that the greatest fight was between the most rabid supporters who sent out death threats and the harshest critics who refused to admit that anything about it was cool.
The seven-minute video tries to explain what happened in the film, but gets overwhelmed by the amount of content and information that was given to viewers. Instead, it resorts to just listing the main plot points.
“Whose idea was it to cram all this into one movie?” the voiceover asks. “They just burned through like six movies worth of good material.”

The DC Extended Universe may only have a couple of films under its belt at this point, but that hasn't stopped WB from going full-force into their next batch of films. Before a frame of Batman v Superman was even dropped to the public, they already had Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman in production and development, respectively. This August will herald the coming of Suicide Squad, along with the arrival of some of DC's more memorable villains. However, we can't forget that we're only about a year away from seeing Wonder Woman in her own solo film.
We caught our first glimpses of Wonder Woman in the DC special Dawn Of The Justice League, but even that was when the film was relatively early on in its production. Now, however, Gal Gadot has shared that principle photography for Wonder Woman is finally complete.
