Although it is a soap opera with some caricature parts, the story that takes place around Hae-ryung, Yoo Hyun-gi and Seo Ji-geon is for me one of the most beautiful melodramas I have ever seen in a movie. Beautiful Kim So-Yeon acts epochal. It is a pity that a separate film or miniseries was not made on this particular story. For God's sake, make a movie on this story. :)
This love story is special because it is not stereotypical. Always these love triangles in the movie end tragically and in violence. Not here. You can be the greatest advocate of the renewal of marriage between Hae-ryung and Yoo Hyun-gi but still you can't be unhappy how the whole story ended... Indeed, how could Hae-ryung be truly happy with Seo Ji-geon if she didn't give love and care to her ex-husband in most difficult moments of his life? That's the point of this great story.
Repentance and forgiveness are very important in life. Forgiveness and conciliation liberate man...There is no doubt at all that Hae-ryung fell in love with her ex-husband again in the last weeks of his life. It may have all begun as an act of pity for her sick ex-husband but it all ended in her awakened love for him.
It seems to me that this story is dedicated to all divorced couples. Although many couples in the world are divorced, men and women can never be insensitive to the life difficulties of their ex-husbands and wives...
Unfortunately, the rest of the stories in the series isn't so good. Only Kim Ji Ho and Kim Yeong Cheol leave an impression.
Anyway, as someone from Europe, I experience this Korean series as a great discovery. Thank you Happy Home for this beautiful story. I have never seen such an original story. Ivan
