This episode wasn't that bad

I don't know what the other two reviewers are talking about. I found this episode quite enjoyable.

I like that Booth's past life in jail caught up to him in a professional way. It made for an interesting case and a sweet ending.

I also liked seeing that Brennan was getting reviewed by the FBI for her actions. Especially because right before she hit him she made some comment about not being punished. Not that I want her to get punished but it's probably good that the FBI is trying to stop her from hitting people.

I love the little romance story we have between Aubrey and Jessica. It's literally so adorable watching them and I love that Aubrey went to Booth for advice and Jessica went to Cam.

The storyline between Hodgins and Angela is getting better I think which is really nice. I mean I can't imagine what Hodgins is going through, but I think that he definitely has been way too hard on Angela lately. That simple moment of him holding her hand at the end of the episode was really powerful and sweet.

Best part: the kiss between Jessica and Aubrey at the end

Worst part: seeing Hodgins not care about living.

It Works Pretty Well

We have a few interesting things at work here. I knew within five minutes who committed the murder. Anyone else would have risked too much, considering they were in a half-way house, just a bit away from total freedom. It was a bit of a stretch that the guy who befriended Booth in prison ends up being a principle player in the story. We also have Abrey's romance with the redhead as he stumbles all over himself trying to make nice with her. And, we get to see a little humanity from Hodgins and a ton of guilt. I'm sure this isn't resolve yet, but time will tell. He is about to go into the next step in the recovery.

Extremely bad

There are some bad episodes in this series, this one is a new deepest level. David Grossman is extremely bad. Credibility doesn't matter to him.

write new text for new people

I've watched 'Jessica' for a couple of episodes and also 'Aubrey'. It appears that they are not only look-alike for the actors they replaced but the writers haven't caught up with the new actors. Jessica is so much like Daisy - in looks and in her verbosity - the only difference being that she seems to work more with the FBI, but also functions as a squint assistant. I felt the same way about when Aubrey took over for Sweets - too look-alike and same personality only he isn't a psychologist and works more with Booth. Otherwise this relationship between Jessica and Aubrey resembles Sweets and Daisy. So the writers didn't even have to rewrite much bringing in the new people. NOT OKAY.
