"The monster in the closet"

Warning: Spoilers
I like, how they did a similar ordeal, like they have done in the past, where they link 2 or more episodes together, to create a "mini-movie" style of connection, and when they do this, they seem to do their best, and in this episode, it is the start of a "mini-movie" style, where it gives us something to wonder what could be next, who it could be, and how it really will come about. As in, will it turn Hodgin's around, and make him realize, that he is being a jerk, towards those who loved him, over the years, even with his jerky attitude, or will he get even worse-off, then he already is? Also, how they show their(Booth & Brennan) daughter again, going through the simple issues of growing up, was a nice touch, as well! Like many others, I have my suspicions on who it could be, or who they maybe linked to, as well, so, only time will tell, who the killer is! Word of advice, keep your eyes open to little links to whom it may be, there are several possible links to whom the killer really is!

Excellent

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is indicative of this season as a whole as compared to the last few seasons. The directing and writing are above average. They are also doing something atypical of this procedural and using music and camera angles to create mood and atmosphere. While I know who the killer is (I read spoilers in Entertainment Weekly, whose print form seems to have taken on a new mission statement to spoil every major movie and TV series plot line, from Game of Thrones to Walking Dead and everything in between, without a warning--even printing them on the cover. but I digress...) But I really like how they are dealing with it. Instead of being cheesy or rushing into things they are taking their time and really creating a sense of a movie (as the other reviewer stated). Love the title of the episode, too. I would say this was one of the series best (if atypical).

Such a great episode

Warning: Spoilers
The visual in this episode is so good that you feel anxious and scared in some scene, the rain scenes and the intense mistery moments that this episodes have are so good. I felt like watching an horror movie. And the fact that they are introducing a new serial killer that seems very interesting is very intriguing, I can't wait to see more dark episodes like this one.

Chilling
Hitchcoc22 March 2023
This is about as intense as this show has ever been. Once again we have a demented genius at work, endangering everyone. He has confederates out there. He kidnaps and uses taxidermy techniques on the bodies. He also has had cameras watching and has eyes on the whole crew, especially Brennan, Booth, Angela, and Cam. There is a great horror movie thing at the end when Christine is thought to be taken. There is loads of really good cinematography in this one, camera angles, lenses, and so on. When Booth strings up the partially dressed skeleton it is really quite spectacular. In other developments, it appears that Aristoo is back in Cam's life. Also, Hodgins is in the depths of self pity and is alienating everyone. Angela will only be able to take so much.

There is an inconsistency in two scenes
mclemons329 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
****Warning for those who haven't seen the episode..... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The scene with Karen Delfs (Sue Rue) and Special Agent Seeley Booth when the were interrogating the suspects, Karen realized some thing and she cuts her hand in front of the suspect with neurocardiogenic syncope(faints at the sight of blood). Then we go to the scene where Special Agent James Aubrey (John Boyd) and Karen Delfs discuss the case she doesn't have the cut on her hand. This scene was made before the first scene. Hence the inconsistency of the two scenes and it is not really hard to spot if you have a DVR or can start and stop on a video streaming site.

Why did Bones always try to make Arastoo feel inferior
letiamj-950884 November 2020
Why does Bones always try to make Arastoo feel inferior?

There were at least 2 if not more serial killers that killed multiple victims during her time at The Jeffersonian. She (and others) try to act like she gets it right the first time all the time. She does not.

It's false narratives like this that causes people to think that black and brown people are inferior when whites make the same mistakes but no one calls them on it.
