This 54 episode family drama has some winning qualities that make it worth watching. First and foremost the cast are watchable. Lee Sang Woo and Eugene make a nice couple. But more involving even is the exuberant Jo Bo Ah and Cha Tae Joon's relationship. Birth secrets and other familiar plot devices are used. Some accurate insights as found as in most good family dramas. Particularly the remarriage with a step kid. Also the spoiled oldest son well played by Oh Min Suk who has a lot to learn. It's about appreciating a mother. Go Doo Shim plays the mother and she has a tricky role often saying awful things. But she shows some wisdom.
A few faults of course. Excessive parental disapproval and lots of tears at terminal illness are cliched. If a few hours worth of unnecessary scenes could have been cut it would have been better.
