Alex Chance's Family Therapist

Filly FIlms is the lesbian-themed porn label that frequently awards a director's credit to its female stars - a laudable gesture except that most of said videos are pretty terrible. Alex Chance stars in this vanity project listing her also as director and it's worse than usual.

She narrates as a psychologist treating family issues, and all her patients in this series of phony-baloney case histories are step-sisters involved in crypto-incest. A flashback even shows Alex and her step-sibling played by Alison Rey having sex.

The feature is poorly made, with a very weak script and rude technical flaws. Only technical credit goes to the editor, who flubs a scene midway through the show as two alternate takes from different angles are played back to back by mistake - same dialog and blocking, just repeated rather than having auteur Alex choose one.

Big showpiece is a highly self-indulgent threesome when Alex is confronted with warring step-sisters consisting of superstar Keisha Grey and cute Karlee Grey. After dwelling on the fact that they have the same last name but are steps (in real life this is just oddball casting as they aren't related at all), Alex sits on the couch between them and thus ensues a daisy chain lesbian scene favorable to the director. I guess rabid Grey fans will want to see them in action in tandem.

Alex herself doesn't look fit or trim in this particular outing, verging on plumper rather than Adult superstar. She fails to take advantage of one of the video's main assets: in an hour-long bonus "Stripteases" segment on the DVD (this is where the actresses for Filly Films perform solo and soft-core) we see an actress stripping on the famous spiral staircase of the popular "Immoral Proposal" mansion, site of the Nica Noelle video by that name. This bonus sequence is visually impressive, but in the main Chance feature you can't tell where it was shot.
