Working for Marc Dorcel (his British gigs have dwindled in recent years), director Kendo tackles the subject matter of a beautiful teen's first encounter with sex in "My Very First Time", the "very" merely a result of vague translation. In the "Making of" short subject accompanying the feature he notes this is his third crack at the maidenhead genre - I had previously seen his less than satisfactory "Lola the Virgin".

Kendo's technique is familiar by now -he muffles or removes any dialogue in favor of an easy to multi-track narration that provides minimal story value. In one scene he pulls a Fellini, telling his actors (he calls them "models" for reasons that become obvious) to just yammer away in any language they please, since he's not going to use it. (Fellini famously had his MOS thespians recite the alphabet, as all Italian films were dubbed later until the '80s when actors united in protest and succeeded in ending that practice.)

Virgin in question is a natural beauty Vanda Lust who one presumes will soon get an Air France one-way ticket to L.A. to start making stepmother incest videos starring local girl Kendra Lust. Or lesbian videos for whichever label makes the highest bid.

But here she is more susceptible to the opposite sex, and you can't get more opposite than Continental cut-up Mike Angelo. He doesn't decorate chapels or do sculptures - this man humps for a living and definitely enjoys his work.

Kendo's in-joke is that he chose Mike to play Mr. Nice Guy for perhaps the VERY first time after literally thousands of uncontrolled gonzo-style performances on screen. This cat is so polite and nice that Vanda as teen heroine Zoe falls for him. Kendo makes the same structural mistake as he did in "Lola", insisting on an early scene of Vanda giving Mike a blow job that in Kendo's universe doesn't count -hey, she's still intact "down there". He fails to realize how this destroys the erotic suspense which after all is the entire reason for making such a film in the first place. It would have been like having Bones or Kate Beckett on TV give her co-star a blow job back in Season 1 or 2 and expect the erotic chemistry to persist for the loyal audience until they hopped in the sack several years later.

This being a Gallic production, even though farmed out to Kendo and shot on snowy locations in Trieste (sounds pretty random but they wanted to be near that Prague Eastern European talent pool), Zoe's mom is a freethinker. She has Mike as her current boyfriend, and spends the weekend with her kid at his country home, so he gets to hump both of them (singly - leave the incest-bating to Chatsworth pornographers).

As quality sex filler, Kendo has neighbors who are swingers drop over for some heavy duty sex, and Angel Wicky is extremely impressive as a huge natural breasts supporting player. This video lacks any of the usual Dorcel superstars, but I found it enjoyable, perhaps by avoiding the repetitive nature of seeing Anna Polina, Tarra White or my favorite Anissa Kate over and over and over basically doing the same thing.

I'm pleased to report that the new, improved Kendo in the past couple of years has upped his game, dropped the awful "splintered" editing technique (which seemed to use a Mixmaster rather than an Avid), and basically now delivers arousing footage. He is determined to never allow anything as old-fashioned as acting or story slip through his quality controls, but at least he's improving.
