Quite surprised no one has reviewed this gem of an ep

Definitely classify Mom as a comedy-drama series. It has its funny moments but when it gets real, it gets down and deep. This is definitely one of the most powerful sitcom eps i have seen in a long time. Superb job done by the cast - main, supporting and guests and the brilliant writing of course. Was very shocked at what happened towards the end. Truly unexpected, but so so real.

Goofs
During Marjorie's bridal shower, when the women are playing a trivia game, Christy asks who gave Marjorie some money and a hit of acid when she was homeless in San Francisco 35 years earlier. Bonnie calls out "Janis Joplin." 35 years prior would have been 1981; Janis died in 1970.

And, as stated by the reader of the card, that answer, as well as all others, are incorrect. A person guessing a date and a corresponding person in a split second guess doesn't preclude that they are necessarily factually accurate. Alcoholism does things to people's memories. True to Bonnie's character, however.
