Low budget, but sends a good message
mayerhofer-2363313 September 2017
The only reason I gave it a five is because I liked the morally right messages that it gives to children. The casting of the main character could be better as the kid looks Hispanic, but neither the parents or grandparents look Hispanic. That or make at least one parent Hispanic. They probably could have used a better sound guy or equipment as it is poor quality. The dialogue can be a bit dry and the delivery cold. This is mainly for children to teach them lessons of life, so adults might find it a bit of a bore. I believe it could have been scored better.

Uh..... What?

10 minutes into this movie and you can tell why I gave it 1 star... I would say that this is because it is a low budget film, but I think that would be too generous... a movie about a boy who develops an imaginary dog friend in order to cope with the death of his mother? Not Healthy. I wish I had another hand, so I could give this movie 3 thumbs down.

So heartwarming it'll make you cry

I was watching this whilst sick in hospital, it reminded me of when I was a kid and had an imaginary friend. This film is an inspiration to the both young and older generation.

The breathtaking story development is beyond amazing, and the character arcs are nothing short but eccentric. The climax made me cry for the whole. Currently, I own 147 digital copies of "Guard Dog" (2015). I have made sacrifices for this movie, I no longer see my wife or kids because it cuts into my "Guard Dog" (2015) time. Part of the reason my wife has left me is because I am unable to spend time with my family unless "Guard Dog" (2015) is playing into the background. I have not come into work for 4 weeks, and my family and friends have been trying to start a intervention to save me. They've been trying to save me through God, but the only savior I need is "Guard Dog" (2015). "Guard Dog" (2015) provided one of my favorite actresses ever. Gabriella Dietrich made the best acting performance I have ever seen. She plays "Giggling Girl #2." The giggling she provides is so life-like and real that i actually believed she was giggling. The pure emotional performance that I witnessed from "Giggling Girl #2" in "Guard Dog" (2015) changed my perspective on life. Thank you "Gaurd Dog" (2015).

Great family night movie!

Warning: Spoilers
The only bad thing I have to say is it was sad and intense in the beginning for my six year old son. However, he loved the dog! I loved how God was translated into the dog. Wonderful movie! Great way of teaching the commandments in a way children can understand. Our whole family loved it, including my nine year old daughter. My son just was scared of the bullies and beginning.

This is really hard to watch, it's a fail for sure! Bad script, bad directing and subpar acting!
