This show looks at the lives and relationships of people who have committed mostly non-violent crimes as they prepare to enter prison for 1-10 years. It is a show about taking ownership after making bad choices and about repenting for mistakes. Most of the people in the show look like our neighbors and friends and don't fit a stereotype of a typical criminal. It is also a show about forgiveness and what families of criminals have to endure. It's a show like no other and I hope they make more seasons.

Could of been better

Tried watching, but after realizing there is no information about the crimes committed, not even a clue, I gave up. Not knowing about the crime really put a huge damper with my interest. For example, the airline pilot who got 5 years in jail was so disappointing; not knowing what he did to put himself in that position.. Someone with this high-level status, being ordered to jail for 5 years, sparked my curiosity greatly. I needed to know what he did. This is critical information the viewer must know in order to feel a connection with the characters portrayed. The show deliberately omitting why the person was going to jail turned into huge letdown and because of this, i felt my time was being waisted.. I don't like not knowing big important questions and my attitude quickly became annoyed. So I decided to forget watching the rest of the series. But I wont give it lower than 5-star rating. This is due to the fact it was a great idea of the series creators attempting at giving some insight about those who were unfortunate to get caught and are forced to suffer the consequences. Most importantly, the effect it had on the loved once and others involved in their lives.

Need more info

Why are you having the people leave their crimes out. Was it a drunk driving accident? Was it selling drugs? I cannot connect with the person going to jail. It's hard not knowing of it was an accidental crime like crossing a double yellow causing head on accident with severe injuries because the sun was in your eyes, or you flew the plane stoned. I wanna either feel sympathy & compassion or you deserve what you got!

I know I can probably google and find out, but it would be so much easier if you could please provide the crime they were convicted of.

Especially since the lady in the first episode said she did it for her kids. What law she break for kids???

Too much crying

Warning: Spoilers
This show is 35 minutes of crying over crimes we don't know. In the last few minutes of the program the crimes are revealed. When I watched a few, I kept wanting the show to just get to the point.
