13 CHAMBERS is an indie horror anthology with a feminist twist: all of the directors are female and, perhaps not by coincidence, most of the 13 short films collected here have better direction than in most indies, short or otherwise. They're mini arthouse pieces overall, with some good and genuine ideas scattered throughout. The main problem is that the running time of each short is so brief that none of the ideas are fully explored to their satisfying potential, leaving this more imagery than substance. 3/10.
