During the Speeder chase, Kanan and Zeb drop into a V-19 or 'Gian' Landspeeder first seen in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999) where it was used by Naboo Security. The Inquisitors commandeer a V-35 Courier Landspeeder, first seen in the original Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) on the streets of Mos Eisley and in the Lars family Garage.
This episode continues a plot line established in The Clone Wars episodes "Holocron Heist", "Cargo of Doom", and "Children of the Force". In the TCW episodes, Darth Sidious (later the Emperor) orders the kidnapping of Force sensitive younglings. In this episode, the inquisitors are hunting down and kidnapping Force sensitive younglings. There are two possible explanations: Either Palpatine planned to corrupt the younglings and raise them to be inquisitors, or he needs them for his cloning experiments.
