Sex & Nudity

  • The battle scenes between Knights are extremely bloody and gory with decapitations, mutilation, and impaling being frequent with all battles not just the epic battles.
  • A man has his intestines ripped out. Camera doesnt linger for long but very gruesome.
  • A mans head bursts and the neck area afterwards is on screen for a number of seconds.
  • A mans stomach is cut open and his intestines fall out on the floor. The camera lingers on this one, you get a good look at his innards.
  • A woman's uterus is ripped out from her and you can see the bloody organ outside, with blood dripping from it. Unexpected and shocking.

Profanity

  • F**k is frequently used
  • Bastard, damn, d*ck, sh*t, bitch and hell are used frequently.
  • Infrequent uses of "cunt"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Woman is drinking wine.
  • Beer is shown

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • On some occasions in the series, characters reference sexual assault. It is not discussed at length or in detail.
  • During the TV series , there are several scenes of suicide or suicide attempts, such as: a woman cuts her wrists with shard of glass, people drinking poison, a woman jumps from a high tower, a man pierces his own neck with a knife. Some of these scenes are very graphic and can disturb viewers.

Violence & Gore

  • In one of the episodes a baby dies, and the corpse is shown and buried many times - this may upset some viewers
  • When Geralt wishes that the guard bursts, the man's head bursts and his bleeding, headless body is shown -very gory and bloody.
  • In one episode, a young girl is thrown off a building to her death

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • In one of the episodes a baby dies - this may upset some viewers
  • Yennefer's ritual is incredibly intense. Her bones break and reform. Her uterus is removed - we do not see the operation onscreen but the surgeon visibly puts the bloody organ on a table afterwards.
  • When Geralt fights the Striga, the striga cuts a character open and his intestines burst out to the floor: the scene is unexpected, very fast and gory: shocking. the whole fight scene is very intense and long. The striga itself is rather ugly and scary.
  • The young mother, princess's throat is cut by an assassin on the beach-very graphic and bloody.
  • On season 2 there is a scene where a baby is being burnt from inside, later we hear multiple babies cry from the same thing and then their mothers scream. Can be very disturbing and painful.
