This cannot be a Aditya Chopra movie.
kinshuk-gaur14 December 2016
First it was Karan Johar with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil now Aditya Copra comes with one of the worst movie for this year Befikre. Let's put simple the movie does not have any story and is about 2 people who are crazy and are having sex wherever they want. Aditya Chopra who has made such classics earlier this was not expected.

Positives – Some good location and average music

Negatives- Not to be watched with family audience though a UA certificate (I wonder what happened to Pahlaj Nihlani) Bad acting poor script , dialogues are cheesy not humorous & equally bad direction.

Bottomline Please do not waste your valuable time and money

The name here should have been Shuddh Videshi Romance.
dexter_greycells11 December 2016
I was misled into watching this movie by a glowing newspaper review. I took the bait since it came from Aditya Chopra i.e. the same director who brought us Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge which is an ageless romance drama. This movie was presented as the current generation version of it but it hardly was. Apparently, promiscuity is the middle name of every young girl and boy nowadays. Most of the movie is pointless. The movie was much closer to Shuddh Desi Romance which was another hang-your-head-in-shame kind of movie. That was based in India; this one's in Paris. Vaani Kapoor's dialogue delivery is terrible and her looks (jeez, that chin and jaw) don't compensate. Ranveer Singh is the saving grace here with his comic timing and the life he brings to his character. The truckloads of kissing (to hell with the opening of the movie) and skin show would have put a B-grade movie to shame. Poor Emraan Hashmi got a bad name for it while Ranveer Singh walks scot-free here - Don't watch it.

I dare Aditya Chopra to read this review.
oazam9 December 2016
DDLJ for me was a romantic benchmark in Indian Cinema along with Mohabbatein and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and it all happened because of one person who brought good mentality from his father and that is Aditya Chopra himself. I always admired his films by the writing, chemistry, direction, and music. But this is the only movie in Aditya Chopra's table which screwed every classic in Indian cinema.

The fantastic trailer and the music YRF put up made me excited but honestly, this film is a disappointment. I don't mind rom-com movies but when it comes to scripting, Adi should've been a bit cautious about what to write. A movie about carefree relationships is not one of them.

The performances in the movie were decent. An actor like Ranveer Singh can make a movie like this worth watching. He was very withheld and humorous in his respective role as Dharam Gulati who played a comedian/playboy.

Vaani Kapoor as Shyra Gill acted averagely well as a tour guide but I felt like she took coaching classes from Katrina Kaif like the way to seduce a guy and create romantic expressions in one way during the movie. That could explain the puffy lips she got after an excessive amount of kissing in the movie.

The direction and cinematography were absolutely spot-on. Aditya Chopra and his DOP managed to shoot Paris very realistically top to bottom with good resonance. The good thing that Adi managed to do was giving good Aesthetic shots in the movie, especially how he shot the kisses although more than 20 weren't needed. The first half was interesting especially the songs in the opening but the interval and climax made me cringe a lot.

His writing was not good because having a carefree relationship colliding with marrying someone else are 2 things which didn't make sense to me. The script for me is hard to explain because of some bit of confusion.

Good music can only come from 2 humble gentlemen and they're Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani. Nashe Si Chadh Gayi is a good track which I've been listening to on a loop as well as You and Me. Khulke Dhulke is the only song in the album which failed to pack a Punjabi wedding punch. Vaibhavi's choreographic skills are getting better and better. Better than Farah Khan and Prabhudeva.

Overall, if I want to describe this film, I would say that Befikre is a mediocre written blue film. The music and direction kept the movie tight but the poor writing and post-interval compromised it which is why this movie is worth a one-time watch or on a Netflix and T.V broadcast.

Aditya Chopra- I know how much you wanted to make a fun and sensuous movie but a script for that needs time. You're still a good filmmaker in my opinion but be careful.

2/5- Yash Raj Films have some damages to fix because of what the Box Office will be like.

Buffoonery Of Eiffel Towerian Proportions ♦ Grade F
nairtejas10 December 2016
Aditya Chopra has issues with understanding love and relationships. He first started throwing up his ideas in 1995, and it took him close to two decades to finally get the people to understand that his interpretations are awfully wrong. Clearly evident in this ritzy romance drama.

Shyra (Vaani Kapoor) is a young, carefree, and promiscuous French woman born to Indian restaurateurs while Dharam (Ranveer Singh) is a comedian from Delhi who has final-stage satyriasis. They bump into each other at a rave party in Paris and immediately indulge in wham bam thank you ma'am. Dharam hopes that he can maybe start scoring, starting from Shyra, but is internally crestfallen to learn that the fun they had the previous night was just a one-time thingummy for Shyra, a professional travel guide who moonlights as garcon at her parents' rotisserie. The 2-hour game-play between these youngsters misrepresented as today's youth is what the film is essentially about.

Viewers are ushered into the film with a montage of various couples kissing and groping each other in the beautiful locales of France. As we move further in the non-linear story-line, Singh comes in as this joker, summoned by his Indian friend to add elan to the latter's comedy club-cum-cafe. But, we mostly see him as a nudist trying to get it on with Shyra, who has terrible taste in fashion, considering her nationality. The story-line tries too hard to showcase the youngsters' mentality when it comes to romance in the free world, but forgets to take all aspects into consideration. If the first half is foreplay followed by carnal knowledge, the second half is post-coital clean up, which is both gross and non-pleasurable.

Dating in the 21st century is everything NOT like one sees in Befikre. Instead, the film is a personal diary of director Chopra who chose to market it as something about no-strings-attached relationships. There is, however, some humor in the drama, contributed mainly by Singh. Albeit, there are too many improbable situations here, which makes the whole shindig slightly unbelievable for the viewers. Dharam shares an apartment with two homosexual women, while Shyra observes licentiousness while living with her parents. Convenience looks good in a store, not in a film. So much, that it flip flops from one idea to another, and often churns out dialogues pinpointing certain stereotypes and gives out critiques which do not pass muster. Today's youth are impulsive, which is not a novel thing about them, but writer Chopra thinks of it as a paradigm shift as we move ahead in life.

With very less background data about the protagonists, the film largely engages in differentiating them as Dilliwala and Pariswali, as if trying to tell that the film may not be universally relevant. Which is true to some extent. The makers also try to bridge the gap between how romance is perceived in India and elsewhere in the West, but falls through, because there is no consideration of the complexities and stigmas that come with it. They fail to realize that casual relationships are not just practiced in Paris and New York, but also in Connaught Place and South Bombay. Also, I'm surprised how the Indian CBFC even cleared the film for the morally-virgin Indian consumers.

Sort of a reverse primer for marriages, the film can most relevantly be described as the less faithful version of Karan Johar's exaggerated snooze-fest, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). While that took a distorted look at relationships, this one here take the on-off approach. It refutes its own claims of how romantic relationships nowadays are - proclaiming that they are fleeting at one point, and then describing it as a bond at another. All in all, it blows its chances at depicting how hook- ups affect people's lives, because while love takes the backseat, lust hops in to take care of the wheel.

Singh marginally steals the limelight with his stronger performance, while Kapoor is let down by her costume and a weird air. Their mannerisms may be a reason to ignite vanity, but their glossy performances fail to ante up the narrative. For a moment, one may even think that the actors are starring in a ridiculously long advertisement by the France tourism board, but then chuck that thought because a French ad would have more French in it than Hindi.

Of course, there are some minor takeaways from the film, which I am leaving alone for your individual capabilities to grapple. Nonetheless, there is one dialog from Shyra's parents that Chopra gets right: "These days parents don't bring up their children, it's the other way around." Don't get excited, because even this is spoken in Hindi.

BOTTOM LINE: Aditya Copra's fourth film, "Befikre" is like a fancy boutique situated in a romantic city. It sells everything from horseplay to foreplay, targeted at the YOLO generation and endorsed by good-looking people. However, by the time you fill your cart with one or two good pieces and go to the counter to check out, you take a glimpse at the backside storeroom, and repulse in fear because you realize you have been duped by men and women who want to set bad examples. Skip for life, or use as a travel guide when you visit Paris.

Can be watched with a typical Indian family? NO

What's wrong with Bollywood!!
choudharyramesh8 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Spoilers Alert!!

What a waste of time. Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor play the roles of Dharam and Shyra respectively in this so called movie Befikre. One can understand why this movie got such a name coz the actors in this movie were befiker about the thrash plot and same old story. Ranveer Singh thinks that he is a great actor well he is not. Overacting all the way. Cosmetic Surgery cannot save you from bad acting Vaani Kapoor. The only things that stand out in this film were the locations, which include Sacre Coeur, Eiffel Tower, Latin Quarter, River Seine, Notre Damme, etc... Aditya Chopra is a very good director he shouldn't do such movies. Had a huge disappointment after watching this movie from such a wonderful director. Songs were good but some were unnecessary. Nothing can save this movie. It's a flop...

Let this film flop
sahilu_9011 December 2016
If you like kissing, sex, idiotic childish actors, and movies which show a Western lifestyle in an Indian film then go watch this. Otherwise let it flop and save your hard earned money. Aditya Chopra has let the Yash Raj name down. Big big disappointment. Didn't expect a big name like his to produce and direct such rubbish. Yash Chopra built the brand and now Aditya Chopra is destroying it. Ranveer is an over rated childish and talentless actor. His dad paid money to get him into the industry. This film has more kissing scenes than Emraan Hashmis career. Walked out before interval after wasting my money and feeling embarrassed with my partner.

Full of bullshit ,Illogical ,Boring and Stereotypical.
anikethooligan11 December 2016
This movie is a waste of time and money. There is nothing else than just hookups and then breakups and then again hookups etc.The logic and sense is absent in this movie its kind of a foreign shot version of Band Baaja Baarat . Just some of the dialogues in the movie are good and the chemistry between the pair is fine and the energy of Ranveer Singh and acting of Vaani Kapoor is good.Rest the movie is a waste of time worth forgetting and very average. The Romantic scenes don't make you feel or convey the romance ,the emotional scenes don't make you emotional and the humour in the movie is not humorous so its really turned out to be a disaster by Adi Chopra.

I saw this movie because of Adi Chopra but in the End , I am regretting that decision now .Pretty ordinary or below average stuff

Easy and fun movie. Don't trust the haters.
vaynvance30 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I don't get it. Why is this movie so trashed? I had fun. Easy and nice. Of course the start, the kissing cuts, of the movie is complete crap. After that I liked what I saw. Especially the song Befikre, absolutely genius. Also have to compliment the dance choreographies. Characters start immature but grow. Whats so bad about that? Seriously... I put off watching the movie because of the reviews. But go figure. Never trust random haters. haha xD

okay, who's the director of the Film?
bittuzzzz11 December 2016
Going to give short review, 1st half- Directed by #ADITYA CHOPRA. 2nd half- Directed by #UDAY CHOPRA(assisted by #SAJID KHAN.. . . .. Yes,this is what i felt after watching this movie,I like still wondering why and how Aditya came up with this dull script, still the dialogues and humour is quite rich and songs are just good to flow with the movie. The only thing worth watching this movie is the trailer of #Raees on the big screen ,though the cinematography is just awesome, Paris and kisses are so beautifully captured. So,watch it if you really nothing to do in this weekend or if you are planning to go to Paris than definitely you should watch.

Lots of kissing from beginning to the end
harlemtahir12 May 2017
Warning: Spoilers
It's not as bad as I expected it to be.

It is cliché film which tries too hard to be cool, hip and western and succeeds in doing so.

Don't take this movie seriously.

Two good songs in this whole movie.

I agree Aditya Chopra's directorial debut with DDLJ is a classic released back in 1995.

21 years later, Befikre is the result.

Vulgar, cheap, based on wannabe western ideologies.

But I'll still give it 8 out of 10.

It's a "light" film. One time watch or maybe twice when you are bored with nothing better to do.

A Copy Cate!
maulin524 December 2016
I went to watch this film only because of Aditya Chopra! Starting song with 25 kisses in it on the streets of Paris made me excited as I've never seen this in any film. But then the story ran like it was a copy. Somewhere I thought that it was like Love Aaj Kal, somewhere like No Strings Attached, somewhere like... uff! Ranveer did this film just for the sake of his mentor, I guess. Vani looks..... "no comments".

Music is enjoyable, so as Paris and its location. The dance part in the pre climax was good. Climax scene was like copied from Housefull movie! Yeah, I mean it.

At last, Udde Dil Befikre... Picture bhi Udd gai...

A film which you can simply SKIP n forget !!
khoolguy0723 December 2016
A film which you can simply SKIP n forget !! The most crappiest movie unless you want to watch to early looking Homo Sapiens doing silly things. The actors Jaw-lines, Nose and probably six packs match perfectly!! The movie has no story.. Acting is mediocre. Yes.. anyone wants to check nudity for the 2 actors then this movie is for them. Please save 2-3 hours of your life and invest in something else rather than watching this crap of a movie. IMDb wants me to write 10 lines ? Aditya Chopra should probably stop making such crap movies. Why waste so much Money on worthless and then waste others time making them watch his crap.

Don't even think about it
ketgup839 December 2016
Now there is a fine line romantic-comedies and vulgarism. "Befikre" belongs to the later category owing to complex characters and even more complex script where you will wonder what is going on. "Befikre" is more like a tour guide to the beautiful city of Paris.

"Befikre" tells the story of a stand-up comedian Dharam (played by #RanveerSingh) who hails from Delhi and a local tourist guide in Paris, Shyra, (played by #VaaniKapoor). Two goes into a sparkling relationship which is free-spirited followed by a break-up. How Dharam and Shyra get back to each other is the rest of the story..

Coming from the house of Yash Chopra films who gave us some fantastic romantic-comedies like "Hum-Tum", "Dum Laga Ke Haisha", "Band Baaja Baaraat" and "Salaam Namaste", "Befikre" will come as a shock to few folks who have been an ardent fan. More disappointing is the fact it is Aditya Chopra who has directed illogical and elusive film which is not only difficult to tolerate but digest as well. The movie begins with a break-up (probably a concept incepted by Imtiaz Ali's impeccable directed "Love Aaj Kal"), bump into each other on every scene and every corner of the city and celebrate their break-up in a grand way. The film also borrows heavily from a French film "Love Me If You Dare" and couple of scenes from the hit TV show "Friends". All wells that ends well with a overdose of melodrama smeared in the end to make it look like a typical Bollywood drama.

On the brighter side, "Befikre" boast off some tuneful music given by the talented duo Vishal-Shekhar, enchanting cinematography and nice art direction. On the flip side, the direction by Aditya Chopra who is still famous for his renowned work in "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge", is way below the mark. Screenplay is confusing as are the makers of the film. Editing is terrible as you will feel tired-out after watching the two hours twelve minutes film. Coming to the performances, Though Ranveer Singh is fine in few scenes, this will be his weakest performances coming right after brilliant portrayal in "Bajira Mastani". Vaani Kapoor goes over-the-top in terms of acting. She should focus on her expression which is same as what she did in "Shudd Desi Romance".

On the whole, "Befikre" is a bad romantic drama which will spoil your mood with weak direction, spineless acting and terrible story line. Poor 1/5

Could Have Been Better
ravisinger8611 December 2016
Befikre Directed By Aditya Chopra DDLJ Fame Director is Rom Com. Direction is Good But The Script is Predictable So Screenplay is Not Engaging. First Half is Good. But Second Half Is Pure Crap. Aditya Chopra is Better Director But Below Average Writing Makes The Movie A Dull Fair.

Dharam Meets Shyra They Hookup. They Stay Together For A Year In Live in Relationship. They Break-up And Now They Are Just Friends. Both Are Now Looking For Perfect Partner. Shyra Finds Some One And He Proposes Her Then Dharam Too Does The Same. Now How They Feel & Do They Still Love Each Other Is The Movie Befikre All About.

Ranveer As Dharam Is Brilliant In Each Frame. Vani Kapoor is Good in Parts Could Have Been Better.Rest Of The Cast Is Not Important As It's Only About Dharam & Shyra.

Music Is Good. Nashe Si Chhad Gayi By Arijit Singh & Title Track By Benny Dayal Are Too Good. Rest Of The Songs Are Average Compostion By Vishal-Shekhar.

So It's A Must Watch For Ranveer Fan. He is Too Good. Anything Else Doesn't Click. So Watch It For Ranveer Or Avoid For Yourself.

There are lots of better movies to watch, Befikre is not one of them
amandamaicoo31 March 2018
This movie is digusting, not interesting, and is mostly a Hollywood movie rather then a Bollywood movie. There is no story, no chemistry, but the music is not so bad. Ranveer wasn't so bad in this movie, I could've expected more from his character. Vaani Kapoor is one of the reasons I hated this film, she can't act but I'm not gonna lie, she can dance, and she kinda did look manly in the movie. I also can't believe that Aditya Chopra who directed DDLJ, Mohabbatein, and Rab ne bana di Jodi gave us this really horrible film. Too many kissing and intimate scenes between the two characters that you actually want to stop watching this movie. There were some things that were not suppose to be shown in this film but were seen. If you never watched Befikre, let it stay that way and don't waste your time

The movie has 23 kissing scenes! If you want to watch those weird kisses, you can watch this crap.Otherwise avoid this and save your valuable time..
shobanchittuprolu31 January 2017
Befikre (2016): I never have any problem with lengthy duration like The Godfather,LOTR series but I never felt bored. In fact I enjoyed those films and remained classics. Why am I comparing those classics with Befikre?I am coming to the point. While I was watching Befikre, suddenly I felt that this movie is coming to its ending at last so I checked my watch but to my shock just 1 hour of the movie has completed:(:(:( At that moment itself I felt that how do I have to bear this crap for another hour..

Plot: A quintessential Delhi boy Dharam (Ranveer Singh) comes to Paris for work in search of an adventure. Just when he was about to embark on this journey of his life he bumps into a wild, free spirited, French born Indian girl Shyra (Vaani Kapoor). A feisty romance ensues between the two in which both of their personalities- one being an equal match for the other are tested to the limit. Battling their ups and downs, both realize that love is a leap of faith that can only be taken by those who dare to love.

Plus Points:

1)Ranveer Singh: With his typical but decent performance Raveer Singh is the only saving grace of the movie. He was very well suited and humorous in his respective role as Dharam Gulati who played a comedian/playboy.

2)Cinematography: Kaname Onoyama's cinematography is brilliant. He did extremely well showing the exotic Paris with beautiful camera work.

3)Nashe se Chad gayi: This is the only song which is very good and choreography in this song is very good.A good number for parties.

Minus Points: Apart from what I have written in plus points, rest of the movie is crap.Aditya Chopra, the legend who gave best romantic movie of India with DDLJ,gave this utter rubbish.

This movie was titled Befikre which means Without any worries. So I waited a lot to see what they will do "that crazy" without any worries. But only thing I found is that they only have sex and some kissing without worries.Clearly a wrong title for this movie.

Vaani Kapoor looked like a weird robot in few scenes. Her look is terrible.

The movie has 23 kissing scenes! One of the largest Bollywood movies have ever got. This is the only thing the makers wanted to attract and if you want to watch those weird kisses, you can watch this crap.Otherwise avoid this and save your valuable time..

My rating 4/10

B grade vulgar movie
sandeepmaloth16 December 2016
Absolute crap B-grade movie.

Ranveer is hopeless actor. why do these b-grade movies become UA certified.

Is Pahlaj Nehlani under pressure to give it an adult certificate. does he have kids?

I like still wondering why and how Aditya came up with this dull script, still the dialogues and humour is quite rich and songs are just good to flow with the movie.

This movie is a waste of time and money. There is nothing else than just hookups and then breakups and then again hookups etc.The logic and sense is absent in this movie its kind of a foreign shot version of Band Baaja Baarat.

Absolutely Shocked!
mukherjeesubham9314 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I am actually very shocked by such low ratings this movie has received, i mean what's wrong with it guys? The same guys who enjoy movies like No Strings Attached and Friends with Benefits, are cringing at the movie saying it is nothing but a bunch of french kisses. But it is not so....Yes, the story of the film is not at all new,you very well know the destination...but who doesn't know, that the destination does not matter the journey to it does. First of all,Mr. Aditya Chopra should take a bow for daring to choose such a vibrant, youthful and modern film, absolutely polarizing to what he has done before,to break his 8 year hiatus. He could have made anything, but he chose this and he should be respected for this,Surprisingly the first half of Befikre looks like it has been helmed by a very young director who knows the pulse of the youth,it is mint fresh, funny, fun and sexy...and this is what sets it apart from other Rom coms.It will surely raise the sexual standards of an Indian film. The 2nd half though not as engaging as the first,Does it job. The music is great and provides the movie a Broadway feel, especially that beautiful french song in the second half is used very beautifully. The cinematography makes love to Paris like no other Bollywood film has before,Each of the frames shot in outdoor looks beautifully french kissed. Such films often fail if the leads fail to hold up,But Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor are absolutely perfect as leads.Ranveer as usual is a bundle of energy which is perfect for this role, while Vaani 3 years after her debut film, looks sexy and delivers a extremely nuanced and polished performance with pitch perfect french speaking.Together, they set the screen on fire. Overall, Befikre must be watched and i would also request people to not compare the movie to Mr.Chopra's previous works, because this is a different movie altogether, as its title suggests, it is carefree,Leave it or take it.

Extremely clichéd, boring and waste of time!
essara-8441713 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
We move back and forth in time to understand why and how did the couple hook up in the first place and then the reason for their break-up. Shrya is a feisty Indian girl who considers herself French national and thus behaves carefree. An Indian, Delhi based boy arrives to Paris for work and he wants to just have fun. They start living together to get to know each other better. They lay down rules for their relationship where they won't behave like regular couples. No coochy-coo, no honey or sweetheart. They keep daring each other which is a little put off. Shrya and Dharam remain friends even after their violent break-up and that's when they meet different people and decide on getting married. Voila! All the questions are answered. Dharam realizes his love for Shyra and confesses his love to her on her wedding day!

And they live carefree (Befikre) ever after. All in all weak plot and story, casting could have been better. Ranveer's talent is wasted. Vaani has done good job with the French accent. The reason why I give 3 is for peppy numbers and the film location. If you don't want to waste your time and money watch it on TV when it is aired (I am sure it will soon be.)

Unfair IMDb user reviews
lethal_smile13 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I just watched this film last night. Aditya Chopra is one of the best Indian directors. I checked the user reviews here first and I was kind of put off to be honest but I watched "Ae Dil ha Mushkil" mainly because of Fawad Khan and also because it was directed by Karan Johar which was a great entertaining well made film I thoroughly enjoyed it but again people haven't been fair with the reviews then I watched "Dear Zindagi" and "Tamasha". "Dear Zindagi" has 8.1/10 of user reviews and "Tamasha" has 7/10. Both films badly directed, boring story and bad jokes. Overall boring films. I wouldn't go to cinema to watch those films.

People wrote things like "A lot of kissing", "Nudity", "Cliche". There is not a lot of kissing and if a swimsuit or seeing someone in under garments is a nudity then yes a lot of nudity. Falling in love is a cliché, why do you do then? People kiss and make love. Get over it if you don't do this. This film is set in Paris, about Indian guy and an Indian Parisian girl so it is Europe, not India. People live together in Europe before they get "married" to get to know each other more as marriage is a big decision.

This film is obviously a high budget film but it is well directed and I am not a big fan of Indian musical films but I must say it is one of the best dance choreography I have seen in Indian films. Great music, it is musical but good music. It is an entertaining film with good acting, set in beautiful romantic Paris. I started watching like 11 pm and I had to get up for work at 6:45 am next day. I was thinking before if it turns out to be boring I would either not finish it or I will watch half of it and leave it other half for next day but I couldn't stop watching until it finished. One of the strong feature of the film is dance choreography both lead actors have performed well.

It is not the best Indian film made but this film is definitely worth watching and entertaining. Watch it with an open mind, don't relate it to your life as like I said it is set in Europe and it is about Indian born Parisian girl if it relates to your life then bingo. I normally agree with IMDb reviews for most of the films but I am bit unsure about Indian films now. You watch it yourself and make up your own mind.

BEST MOVIE , a must watch for all Lovers
souravdas33665 January 2017
An excellent treatment, each scene of the movie is crafted with so much care that I was astonished to see how could it be done.

I have seen some of Aditya Chopra's films before and all have a touch of class, but the way we see before is entirely a different ball game.

Ranveer Kapoor has maintained his usual flamboyancy as dharma in the film and newcomer vain Kapoor as Syria is equally stunning.

the scenes at Paris will take you also to Paris, the ultimate place for so,many

the jokes share at the movie was so humorous

after the movie everyone wants to be like dharma in their real life

a very well crafted style of characterization can be seen in this movie

The romance is a visual delight, the ending was expected but what made Befikre best was the treatment.

Hats off to this movie.

A Slog!
namashi_19 December 2016
'Befikre' is a Slog. There's not other way to put it up. Writer-Director Aditya Chopra fails to deliver a tale on Modern Love. Too many dares, very few laughs & a dragging second-hour, play a spoilsport.

'Befikre' Synopsis: After a coincidence, Dharam and Shyra (Ranveer Singh & Vaani Kapoor) meet & indulge in impulsive, engaging series of experiences. Doused in the spirit of Paris, they celebrate love, sex and focus on living life to the fullest. But love is inevitable.....

'Befikre' begins in a fun way & watching the protagonists indulge in lust rather than love, is interesting. But sooner than expected, the dares between them come across as silly & their differences appear plastic. Despite these pumps, the first-hour still keeps the energy coming. Its the second-hour, however, that fails completely. The addition of a new man in the leading lady's life, is clichéd & the series of events that follow, are tiresomely predictable. In short, 'Befikre' makes an attempt to make modern love look daring & rather impulsive, but the result, is underwhelming.

Aditya Chopra's Writing is breezy initially & some scenes are fun in the first-hour, but as mentioned before, the second-hour is devoid of excitement. The Dialogue, are quite good at places. Aditya Chopra's Direction is just about okay. 'Befikre' finds him limping & that's sad. Cinematography & Vishal-Shekhar's Score, merit a special mention.

Performance-Wise: Ranveer Singh is the sole saving grace. He nails every nuance of Dharam & also delivers the best laughs. He keeps the narrative going! Vaani Kapoor is very natural & shares a nice on-screen chemistry with Ranveer. Both the actors have done well, but sadly, the script lets them down.

On the whole, 'Befikre' is high on hype, but low on substance.

Wish I could rate it less than 1. 0.5 or 0.25 may be. There was no chemistry between any actors. Ranveer was more of glorified Uday Chopra (from other Adi Chopra movies) and Vaani Kapoor, her face is an agony to watch throughout the movie. The story line is worse than pathetic. I don't even know why I even decided to watch. Having it free on Amazon prime video still didn't make it worth of money. I think I lost my money because I wasted my time on such "Careless" thing! YRF lost its charm, good scripts and may be short of actors too!

A pale movie with no storyline
sauravjoshi8524 December 2018
This is one of the worst movie came from yashraj camp. There is no story and acting is also ridiculous. A mental trauma and better sleep or go out on drive with your loved one instead of wasting your time on such crap
