I watched After The Outbreak (2017) not realising it was part of a series, I really enjoyed it and truly didn't expect to.
Upon discovering it had too more parts I was very excited though concerned that all three movies were made in the same year. This suggested rush jobs and after the great After The Outbreak I really didn't want to see that.
Surviving The Outbreak is essentially more of the same. Due the lack of budget it's less about the zombies and more about the survivors and their personal turmoils.
Sadly in watching this I couldn't help feel it was the same movie, several scenes were near identical (Just not as well done) and this really killed it for me.
I went into this expecting something good and walked away sorely let down, I do truly hope the third movie makes up for that as this could have been a neat little trilogy.
The Good:
Clearly connected to the other films
The Bad:
Too much recycled from elsewhere in the series
Simply not very well made
Lifeless, forgettable cast
Things I Learnt From This Movie:
Making the same movie with minor tweaks is no way to make a franchise
