The Beauty, the Horror, the Insanity of it All
adam-hardy12 January 2021
I am seriously tempted to give it 10 out of 10 but that would be saying it was perfect, which it wasn't. There were things I would have omitted, and other things I would have included, and the directory obviously made a conscious decision not to make it preachy or didactic. But then he didn't need to. The events and the occurrences that you learn in this documentary don't really leave you with any leeway about what conclusions to come to. If society can't turn itself round, then this film will be used some time in our impoverished future to document our global social & economic disintegration. It will be quoted in "The Decline and Fall of Capitalism" and join "The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" on some future bookshelf.

Best Film Ever about the Waorani and Yasuni
bejat8 April 2021
As I am familiar with the setting of Yasuni Biosphere Reserve and the Waorani I find this film to be the most informative and captivating film about what is known as the most biodiverse place in Earth. It is so beautifully composed you will feel the depth of the Waorani spirit while witnessing the complex web of biodiversity. This film tackles all that is Yasuni and delves into the harsh reality of oil in the Amazon.

Incredible film tackling huge issues

This film captures the beauty, terror, and sadness over the fight to save some of the last bio-diverse places on earth. Powerful film that reveals the glory of nature and the disgusting capabilities of humankind.

Powerful Documentary

Yasuni Man has beautifully captured all aspects of what a documentary should communicate. In its comprehensive and intricate portrayal, this film reminds us of what is truly important in life. Furthermore, the integration of biodiversity and the Waorani people profoundly teaches us the utter importance of the circle of life and its most natural flow. In this day and age where materialistic development is incessantly prioritized, this powerful documentary reminds us of the critical urgency of conservation.
