To watch this and enjoy it fully ... you have to be in a certain frame of mind. To call anything in here ridiculous would be an understatement! Having said that, if you go with the flow, the movie can be funny as hell for you (and maybe you're not liking me "only" giving it a 6 - all fair enough).
But I would do any and everyone a disservice if I would play fanboy here ... this is removed from reality and yet bases itself sometimes fully in reality ... so it is a slippery slope it walks on (or a thin line, whichever works better for you). The main two characters have the charisma to carry the movie - they do a decent enough job. Everyone involved is doing their best, considering how out there this movie and its "plot" is. Getting some well known faces to make fun of themselves or just have fun on set (I can only imagine how light and fun the shooting must have been, looks like it was a hoot) is also a good idea.
Add some romantic notion to it and many different flavors (international speaking and no pun intended) and voila ... there may be certain things that feel offensive to some, I really did not pay too much attention to that - just because the movie - I mean I couldn't take much of it seriously.
