A real-life Polish-Ukrainian border guard cabin was used on location in the Bieszczady Mountains. The cabin was only enlarged by additional 120 square meters so that the interior was more spacious for the crew.
Marcin Dorocinski did not want a double to shoot the scene when he's on fire. He did everything himself.
