Only if your a fan of such kind of cinema then your gonna enjoy this movie , loved performances by both the leading ladies and saurabh shukla and other lead actors as well .

An unflattering imitation of Dev D.

Dev D was a memorable film. Daas Dev tries to continue in that spirit but comes across as a cheap imitation. Fifteen years ago Sudhir Mishra was a good film maker. Now he's just deteriorated into a self-pitying, overbearing, pompous bore.

A Classic Maqbool meets Devdas Politico Drama

Unable to understand low rating and only 2 reviews as of now. This might not be as per the expectation what we generally have from the director Suhdeer Mishra, but its better then 99% of crap bollywood produces. While keeping the essence of original Devdas, Devdas in love with paro and vice-versa even after paro gets married to someone else, Chandramukhi aka chandani in love with devdas while fighting against anyone and everyone, Devdas attraction towards Chandini, Paro's mother vendetta against Devdas family etc ) Sudheer mishra has managed to blend in the filth in form of politics which is beautifully weaved across. Each and every character has done justice with their role, specially Gandu Genda aka Ehsan Khureshi whose last few moments on screen were extraordinary. slight essence of Anurag Kashwap movie, this movie is a must watch ( Statutory Warning - Fans of Shahrukh, Amir, Salman etc, please not a cup of tea for you idiots )

I am surprised to see a rating of 6 for this movie. We Indians are now used to watch crap movies. This one is a great movie. A cult movie to be compared with Gangs of Wasseypur kind.

Unexpected gem

Didnt expect much but turned out to be pretty good. Rahul bhatt has done above average work. The two leading ladies are okay, although aditi seemed to be lacking in some scenes. I can totally see Shiney Ahuja in the leading role as well.
