October is nearly on its last days. That means that holiday season at the movies is in!
For Disney, all eyes are on their two major releases to make waves in the box office: Moana 2 and Mufasa: The Lion King. With excitement and curiosity surrounding the two huge sequels, they will surely top the holiday box office.
Starting with Moana 2, the sequel to the 2016 Disney animated hit, it is one track to earn over $100 million during the Thanksgiving week. According to the tracking service Quorum, around $75-82 million of which will be gained from Friday to Sunday.
That forecast places it below Frozen 2 and its gross of $125 million over Thanksgiving - the last time Disney was able to hit high numbers for the holiday. And much like the mega-sized sequel from one of Disney’s most successful properties, Moana 2 might gain the same trajectory.

It’s one of the oddest and most dismaying of all Academy Awards factoids: The Best Cinematography category was introduced at the first ceremony in 1929, but it took 90 years and 596 nominations before the category had its first female nominee. Rachel Morrison broke that nine-decade male monopoly, the longest stretch for any gender-neutral Oscar category, in 2017 for her work on Dee Rees’ “Mudbound,” and the following year, she became the first female cinematographer to make a Marvel movie with “Black Panther.”
Those two films are among the standouts in a career that has also seen her serve as director of photography on “Fruitvale Station,” “Dope” and “Seberg,” and that has now expanded to include her feature directorial debut, “The Fire Inside.” The Amazon MGM Studios release stars Ryan Destiny as real-lifebOlympic boxer Claressa Shields, the first woman to win a gold medal for the U.S. and the only American boxer...

"I used to be angry all the time. But I'm not angry anymore." Prime Video has revealed an official trailer for a sports movie called Unstoppable, telling the true story of one-legged wrestler Anthony Robles. Based on a true story, of course, as most sports movies usually are. This first premiered at the 2024 Toronto Film Festival, and it also played at Hawaii, Chicago, Montclair, Philadelphia, and Austin Film Festivals. Starring Jharrel Jerome as Anthony Robles in another outstanding performance, Unstoppable is both an irresistible sports drama and a family story full of heart. In the wrestling circle and the locker room, he has to convince two tough coaches (Michael Peña and Don Cheadle) that his grit and potential are real. At home, he contends with an outspoken and loving mother going through some growing up of her own. In addition to Jerome, the cast includes Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, the real Anthony Robles,...

If the name Jharrel Jerome sounds vaguely familiar, it should. The 27-year-old actor made his debut in Barry Jenkins‘ drama film “Moonlight” (2016), and his career has been on an upward trajectory ever since. Following that performance, he appeared in Ava DuVernay’s Netflix miniseries “When They See Us” (2019) and Boots Riley’s limited series “I’m a Virgo” (2023). The rising star’s next role is “Unstoppable,” an underdog sports drama that had its world premiere at the recent Toronto International Film Festival in September (read our review).

Put filmmaker Hannah Peterson on a film set, and she’ll know how to do most jobs. Director, writer, editor? Check, check, check. Actor? She did a tiny role for Sean Baker. Dp, costume designer, line producer? Check, check, check. Casting? For Baker’s “The Florida Project,” she “would go into Targets and Wal-Marts and approach people.” For Chloé Zhao’s “Nomadland,” she was “finding real people, and then watching how that becomes imbricated into the script and how those people become a part of this bigger movie engine.”
So when it came time to make her feature film debut, “The Graduates,” Peterson had her skills locked and her inclinations set. The film, which premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival, where it was nominated for Best U.S. Narrative Feature, feels like a spiritual companion to Baker and Zhao’s early work, a finely told story about real human drama.

Awards season is underway, and the Gotham nominations are only a small blip for what could be on Oscar voters radar.
While any nomination (or win) from any industry group marks a chance at gaining momentum, it’s important to remember the Oscar punditry golden rule: It’s not about what everyone wants to win, it’s about what will win. And critics are not Oscar voters. Each Gothams category is determined by a set of five distinct critics and journalists from various disciplines.
The slate of feature film nominees, with Sean Baker’s hilarious and moving dramedy “Anora” leading the charge with four nods, is yet another compelling reason to think that the Neon-distributed Palme d’Or winner has what it takes to go all the way in the race. On the other hand, I wouldn’t read too much into the complete shutout of films such as...

“Anora,” a free-wheeling comedy about a sex worker who becomes entangled with the family of a Russian oligarch, led the Gotham Awards, picking up four nominations, including a nod for best feature.
“Nickel Boys,” the story of two African-American teens who are sent to an abusive reform school, and “I Saw the TV Glow,” a psychological horror film about high schoolers who begin to lose touch with reality, were close behind with three nods apiece.
“Nickel Boys” will vie for best feature alongside “Anora.” Other nominees for the top prize include the erotic drama “Babygirl,” the black comedy “A Different Man” and “Challengers,” a love triangle that unfolds against the backdrop of professional tennis. There were several notable omissions, with critically heralded films like “The Brutalist” and “Conclave” passed over for a best feature nomination. “The Brutalist” did earn two nominations for its star Adrien Brody and for the supporting turn of Guy Pearce.

“Anora,” “Babygirl,” “Challengers,” “A Different Man” and “Nickel Boys” have been nominated as the best films of 2024 by the 2024 Gotham Awards, the Gotham Film & Media Institute announced on Tuesday.
Sean Baker’s “Anora” led all films with four nominations, including Best Feature, Best Director and Outstanding Lead and Supporting Performances for Mikey Madison and Yuri Borisov.
In the gender-neutral Gotham acting categories, other nominees included Pamela Anderson for “The Last Showgirl,” Adrien Brody and Guy Pearce for “The Brutalist,” Nicole Kidman for “Babygirl,” Marianne Jean-Baptiste for “Hard Truths,” Demi Moore for “The Substance” and Saoirse Ronan for “The Outrun.”
Eligibility for the Gotham Awards used to be restricted to films that came in under a $35 million budget cap, but the awards did away with that rule last year. It’s true that queer representation in cinema has come a long way from what it used to be, and society has evolved enough to make way for important and timely conversations on the LGBTQ+ community. Now, if you take a look at the highest-rated queer movies of all time, you’ll come across titles like Bpm, Moonlight, God’s Own Country, Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Shiva Baby, The Half of It, The Handmaiden, Dog Day Afternoon, Love Lies Bleeding, The Power of the Dog, Carol, and more. Upon closer examination, you’ll realize that a lot of these films are very White or they are centered around stories set in first-world countries because they are either more marketable and more accessible than queer tales from the disenfranchised sections of society. This phenomenon is not only hindering the queer discourse but also preventing the queer cinema of third-world countries from progressing.

I shouldn’t get into Oscar talk because that’s not really my world, nor do I really pay much attention to the tea leaves of that game, but in a just world, or for my money, anyhow, the Sundance drama “Exhibiting Forgiveness” is at least nominated in every major category, including Best Picture and Best Actor for its star André Holland (“Moonlight,” “The Knick,” etc.).

Buckle up, everyone: Bong Joon Ho is back. The Korean auteur finally returns after sweeping the Oscars with Parasite, and he’s going full-tilt into bonkers satirical sci-fi mode with Mickey 17, starring multiple Robert Pattinsons. Two of which – Mickey 17 and Mickey 18 – you’ll find on the cover of Empire’s December 2024 issue.
The issue doesn’t hit newsstands until Thursday 24 October. But in the meantime, here’s a sneak peek inside its pages.

Los Angeles Haunted Hayride — the sprawling attraction that packs a spooky patch of Griffith Park with ghouls, goblins and eerie attractions — has never closed for a private party. Not for the Obamas, the Beckhams, Christina Aguilera or any of the VIPs that have flocked to the pop-up during the Halloween season in its 16 years of existence. That changed on Oct. 10, when the public exited the area known as Midnight Falls to make way for host Janelle Monáe and nearly 100 of her nearest and dearest.

It was during San Diego Comic-Con in 2019 that Marvel announced two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali would play the superhero Blade in a new Marvel film set to arrive in theaters potentially as soon as late 2021 or early 2022.
Now five years later, Ali’s stab at Blade remains unmade. On Tuesday, Disney quietly announced that it had pulled the Marvel film from its scheduled release date of November 7, 2025. No new date has been publicly announced.
Progress on “Blade” has been slow and unsteady. Since the announcement in 2019, the project has cycled through two directors – Bassam Tariq and Yann Demange – and several writers. Ali was originally supposed to star alongside Aaron Pierre and Delroy Lindo in the film but both actors have since departed the project. Mia Goth was still attached, however, when she was doing press for “Maxxxine” this past summer.
“They really care, they do. They want to make a great movie.

Even though it seems obvious at this point, sad as that may be, Marvel's long gestating "Blade" reboot has officially lost its release date. The film, which is due to star Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali was previously set to hit theaters on November 7, 2025. That's no longer happening, leaving the project on uncertain ground. There is some good news, however, as Disney has opted to give that release date to something both deserving and exciting.
Disney has now officially given "Prey" director Dan Trachtenberg's new "Predator" movie "Predator: Badlands" the November release date previously reserved for "Blade." That means this one will get a theatrical release, unlike "Prey," which was dumped directly to Hulu in 2022. That release strategy has long been viewed as a mistake by Disney as the film was met with rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. It presumably would have done big business at the box office,...

For the first time in its history, the contest for the Audience Award at the Middleburg Film Festival has resulted in a tie. “Conclave” from Edward Berger and “September 5” from Tim Fehlbaum won top honors at the 12th edition of the Northern Virginia event.

It also stars Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow, and Isabella Rossellini. Rossellini received the Agnès Varda Trailblazing Film Artist Award at this year’s festivities.

Titus Kaphar’s first film as a director, “Exhibiting Forgiveness”, releases in theaters this Friday. The movie examines the themes of family relationships, making amends, and forgiveness. Kaphar draws from his own experiences for the story.
“Exhibiting Forgiveness” follows artist Tarrell, played by André Holland. Tarrell must deal with an unexpected visit from his estranged father La’Ron, portrayed by John Earl Jelks. La’Ron, a recovering addict, wants to repair their damaged bond. His arrival forces Tarrell to face past hurts and consider healing.
The film also stars Golden Globe nominee Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor as Tarrell’s mother Joyce, and singer Andra Day as his wife Aisha. Each actor brings depth to their complex roles in the family drama. Holland, known for movies like “Moonlight”, again shows his skill at portraying nuanced characters authentically.

Any director would love to land Mahershala Ali for their film. Now imagine getting the two-time Oscar-winner for your first feature. That’s what happened to Daniel Klein in 2000 when he hired the young actor to star in his film, which was never released or even formally presented outside screenings at a small regional film festival.”. But now, nearly 25 years later, a new movie cut from the countless hours of footage is taking the spotlight when “Taste the Revolution” premieres Oct. 19 at the New Orleans Film Festival. The film is also seeking distribution.

Adrien Brody won an Oscar at the 2003 ceremony for his performance in “The Pianist.” Despite his impressive career, that film has brought him his only nomination. Things could change in early 2025 now that his latest film “The Brutalist” has him competing for Best Actor. An Oscars victory would add him into an exclusive club that currently just has seven members: performers to win two Academy Awards for their only two nominations.
Our Gold Derby odds for Best Actor currently have Brody tied for second place with Colman Domingo (“Sing Sing”) at 9/2 odds. Ralph Fiennes (“Conclave”) is out front in first place at 4/1 odds. We then have Timothee Chalamet (“A Complete Unknown”) at 6/1, Daniel Craig (“Queer”) at 21/2, Sebastian Stan (“The Apprentice”) at 16/1, and John David Washington (“The Piano Lesson”) at 30/1.

“Challenge” is a word that comes up a lot when talking to André Holland about his new film “Exhibiting Forgiveness.” It was a challenge learning how to paint at a level that would convince keen eyes he was a fitting surrogate for artist Titus Kaphar, who mined heavily from his own life to write and direct the Sundance premiere serving as his feature debut. It was a challenge digging deep into his emotions to play a painter dealing with the turmoil of his estranged father reentering his life, especially as Holland was in the process of saying goodbye to his own father. It was even a challenge getting cast as lead Tarrell in the first place, according to the actor.

One hit horror sequel deserves another, and Art the Clown won’t be the only one smiling this weekend. Read on for Gold Derby’s box office preview.
Despite the huge success of Damien Leone‘s “Terrifier 3,” Art the Clown will have to deal with the fact there is likely to be an even bigger horror sequel this weekend as Paramount Pictures releases “Smile 2.” It’s the follow-up to the 2022 hit horror movie from filmmaker Parker Finn, which opened with $22.6 million on its way to $105.9 million domestic and $217 million worldwide. It should go without saying that October is the perfect month for a horror release, but oddly, the original “Smile” opened on September 30, then had sustained legs with smaller week-to-week drops. Other horror franchises that have dominated the month of October include the “Saw” and “Paranormal Activity” movies, both which saw huge bumps in business with their second chapters.

The EnergaCamerimage International Film Festival has unveiled the first batch of movies selected for its 2024 main competition — a trio of aesthetically adventurous stories about women.
The selection includes Jacques Audiard’s Cannes jury prize winner Emilia Pérez, Magnus von Horn’s arthouse drama The Girl with the Needle, and Rachel Morrison’s boxing biopic The Fire Inside. Camerimage organizers will unveil the rest of this year’s competition selection — which usually totals around a dozen movies — in the days ahead.
As previously announced, this year’s Camerimage competition will be assessed by a panel led by jury president and two-time Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett.
Emilia Pérez and The Girl with the Needle both premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May — and both were selected by THR‘s critics as among the best films of the 2024 edition.

Mahershala Ali’s Long Lost Film Debut Will Finally Be Released Almost 25 Years Later — Watch Trailer
Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali’s film debut is finally getting released almost 25 years after being shelved.
Ali plays a fictional, egotistical revolutionary leader who compares himself to Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and Moses in “Taste the Revolution,” a political satire mockumentary written and directed by Dan Klein.
The long lost film follows two aspiring filmmakers as they chronicle the story of a charismatic revolutionary, Mac Laslow (Ali), and the group of disillusioned college students drawn together one summer to change the world. But, per the official synopsis, “without a unifying direction or clear goals, the movement descends into chaos.”
Alexander Bilu, Jeremy Dubin, Jen Nails, and Jeremy Beiler co-star alongside Ali, who also executive produces.
Ali isn’t the only Hollywood star who got his start with “Revolution”: Colin Trevorrow co-wrote the script, co-stars, and also executive produces.
So why was “Revolution” shelved back in 2001? Well, according to director Klein,...

Mahershala Ali’s first starring film role is finally making its way to the public after being in limbo for nearly 25 years.
Ali plays a revolutionary leader in writer-director Dan Klein’s mockumentary feature Taste the Revolution, with rights currently available for the film. Colin Trevorrow serves as executive producer and plays a small role in the project that is set to premiere at the New Orleans Film Festival on Oct. 19.
Taste the Revolution wrapped filming in 2001 but was shelved following the events of 9/11, with the footage recently being unearthed and edited into the movie that it was intended to become. The story centers on two filmmakers rolling cameras as revolutionary Mac Laslow (Ali) heads up a World Summit that draws an array of young adults looking to change the world and also blow off some steam.

The State of the Race
Sequels have been a dominant part of the Best Adapted Screenplay conversation the past couple years, and though those productions show no signs of stopping, we have finally leveled out this year, with only two or three sequels that are seriously in the screenplay awards conversation serving as follow-ups to scripts that have already been nominated for the Oscar.
Though there is a lot of trickiness around how to campaign “Dune: Part Two,” being that voters do not often flock toward the second film in a proposed trilogy,...

A brutal Oscar season is ahead…in a good way.
As the Oscar race heats up, Hollywood is bracing for an intense, wide-open awards season. After its whirlwind tour through the Venice, Toronto, and New York Film Festivals, A24’s newly acquired historical epic “The Brutalist” has emerged as a potential heavyweight in this year’s Academy Awards lineup. Starring Adrien Brody in a career-redefining role as a Hungarian-born Jewish architect who survives the Holocaust and journeys to the U.S., the film screened in front of an influential audience at CAA on Sunday night. The room was filled with industry professionals, journalists, and Oscar winners like Cord Jefferson (“American Fiction”). After the screening, the film’s director, Brady Corbet, and co-writer Mona Fastvold participated in a post-screening Q&a session, giving the audience insight into the seven-year odyssey to bring this project to life.

“What you think about girls’ boxing?” The man asking that is Jason Crutchfield (Brian Tyree Henry), the coach of a boys’ boxing club in Flint, Michigan. It’s 2012, and five years before he’d allowed one girl to join his club (even though it was against protocol): a coiled 11-year-old scowler named Claressa Shields, played by Jazmin Headley and then, as she grows up, by Ryan Destiny.
Claressa, the heroine of “The Fire Inside,” has the dogged determination to pummel her way into the ring. It’s not as if she talks her way in — Claressa, as we learn, doesn’t say much. She speaks with her fists. And one of the reasons she’s so brilliant at using them is that, by her own admission, she likes to hit people. She’s a bully, and owns it. She’s coming from a place of severe hardship: father behind bars,...

In 2010 the academy expanded the Best Picture field from just five nominees and reintroduced the preferential ballot to decide the winner. Over the ensuing 15 years, we’ve seen six splits between the winners of Best Picture and Best Director (which still has just five nominees). Prior to this such splits were fairly rare. Why the change? (Scroll down for our updated 2025 Oscar predictions for Best Director.)
At the Oscars, the winner of Best Picture is determined by a weighted ballot and the outcomes of the other 22 races, including Best Director, are decided by a popular vote. With two different voting systems, it’s easy to understand why there is often a disconnect between the winners of Best Picture and Best Director.
In 2022, Jane Campion won Best Director for “The Power of the Dog” but “Coda” was named Best Picture. In 2019 Alfonso Cuaron won Best Director for “Roma” only to see...

‘The Bikeriders’ officially pushed as an adapted screenplay at Oscars … but not at the Writers Guild
We already had “The Bikeriders” in our Oscars predictions center as an adapted screenplay, but now Focus has confirmed to Variety that that’s where it will compete for Oscars. But it won’t be considered an adapted script everywhere. At the Writers Guild Awards, the film will still be slotted as an original piece of writing.
“The Bikeriders” was inspired by the photobook of the same name by Danny Lyon, and tells the story of the Vandals Motorcycle Club, a fictional version of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club. It stars Austin Butler as a member of the motorcycle gang, with Tom Hardy as its leader. It actually premiered at the Telluride Film Festival back in 2023, but wasn’t released by Focus Features until June 2024 due to the 2023 labor strike by the SAG-AFTRA industry union of performers and artists.

“The Bikeriders” is taking a trip from original to adapted screenplay Oscar consideration.
Focus Features’ drama, directed and written by Jeff Nichols, will compete for the Academy Award in the best adapted screenplay category, Variety has learned exclusively.
The movie stars Austin Butler, Jodie Comer and Tom Hardy. It premiered at the 2023 Telluride Film Festival, garnering rave reviews despite the ongoing Writers Guild and Screen Actors Guild strikes. Initially scheduled for release by 20th Century Studios on December 1, 2023, the film’s launch was delayed. Focus Features later acquired the project and released it in June. Before this acquisition, Variety exclusively confirmed that although the film draws inspiration from Danny Lyon’s iconic photobook, it was initially positioned as an original screenplay. However, those plans have shifted.

Glass Onion star Janelle Monáe has revealed that she and Get Out’s Jordan Peele are planning to work together, but on what remains a mystery.
Jordan Peele is well known for being rather elusive when it comes to future movies. Nope, his most recent film, was a masterclass in how to market and release such a project, as well as being one of the best films of 2022.
Peele has a film currently scheduled for release in 2026, but given the preamble above, don’t expect us to have many details to share with you. It sounds as though it’s going to be another horror film from the filmmaker, but beyond that, we know nothing.
One person that does know something is Janelle Monáe. The singer and actor has told People that she and Peele have “spoken about making [a] film” together, apparently as recently as this year. Naturally, that gets...

Concerns about Warren Beatty’s health are nothing new.
After all, the 87-year-old has been a household name since the ’60s, and these days, he rarely appears in public. So it stands to reason that there would be occasional speculation about his overall condition.
The latest round of fears about the screen legend’s well-being began back in March when he was conspicuously absent from daughter Ella’s Broadway debut.

“Nickel Boys”, which opens the New York Film Festival on September 27, wouldn’t exist without producers Dede Gardner (Plan B) and Joslyn Barnes (Louverture Films). Independent studio A24 has announced late 2024 theatrical release dates for two anticipated films, positioning them to compete for Academy Awards in early 2025. “Queer,” directed by Luca Guadagnino, will debut November 27th in select theaters.
The romance drama follows an American living in 1940s Mexico City, played by Daniel Craig. “The Brutalist,” helmed by Brady Corbet and starring Adrien Brody, will receive a wider release on December 20th. The 215-minute epic traces a Holocaust survivor’s immigrant experience in America over three decades.
Both films premiered this year at the Venice Film Festival, where they earned praise from critics. “Queer” could receive Oscar nominations for Daniel Craig’s lead performance and the screenplay adaptation of William S. Burroughs’ novel. Critics have also noted potential recognition for Brady Corbet’s direction of “The Brutalist,” as well as a possible best actor nomination for Adrien Brody, who won previously for 2002’s “The Pianist.

When producer David Beaubaire was an executive at Warner Bros., DreamWorks, Paramount, and Sony, he made movies like “Up in the Air,” “Dreamgirls,” “Flight,” and “The Big Short” — the kinds of original studio projects that aren’t often made today.
Development has always been a gamble, requiring many years and millions of dollars for a film that’s more likely to flop than to hit — if it ever gets made at all. It’s also become increasingly rare. Beaubaire studied 505 films released and/or to be released by major studios between 2022 and 2026 and found that the titles championed by a studio executive — someone who courted filmmakers and talent, went through rewrites, and saw it through to its release — accounted for 10 percent of the total.

Ariana Grande‘s upcoming movie Wicked hasn’t even hit theaters yet, but it’s already stirred up tons of drama. The dramatic fairytale is set to hit theaters on November 22, 2024, with Ariana playing the role of Glinda. Ariana’s behind-the-scenes drama with Ethan Slater has been the center of many conversations regarding the film. However, it now seems that fans have a better, more positive distraction to focus on with the release of Ariana’s Wicked Makeup Collection.
Details About Ariana Grande’s Wicked Makeup Collection
Ariana isn’t new to the makeup scene since she has a cosmetic company called R.E.M. Beauty that she initially launched in 2021. R.E.M. Beauty offers tons of products including glossy bombs, satin matte blushes, lustrous liquid eyeshadows, and more. Additionally, Ariana knows a thing or two about perfume sales, which arguably also fits into the cosmetic category.

Bong Joon Ho fans have been anxiously awaiting a first look at some footage from the Award-winning Parasite director's next project for quite a while, and the first teaser trailer for Mickey 17 was released earlier this week.
Now, an international version has found its way online, and while a lot of the footage is the same (minus the Sinatra tune), there are quite a few new shots.
The (supposedly loose) adaptation of Edward Ashton’s best-selling novel, Mickey7, stars Robert Pattinson (The Batman) as the title character, who is repeatedly cloned to help with the colonization of a dangerous ice-planet.
Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo also star.
This trailer gives us a better idea of what to expect, as Mickey 17 joins forces with his latest clone, Mickey 18, in an attempt to stay alive when Mark Ruffalo's villain declares that all "multiples" - including the original - must be destroyed.

The Gotham Film and Media Institute announced on September 18 that it will present its special Ensemble Tribute Award to the cast of “The Piano Lesson,” which includes John David Washington, Danielle Deadwyler, Samuel L. The film, set in 1936, tells the story of a Pittsburgh family brought together — and nearly torn apart — by a precious family heirloom. It’s based on the play by August Wilson, whose works “Fences” and “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” have also recently been adapted for the screen.
Jeffrey Sharp, Executive Director of The Gotham, said in a statement, “‘The Piano Lesson’ is a stunning adaptation, bringing August Wilson’s play to life with captivating cinematic artistry. Robert Pattinson dies, and dies, and dies in the new trailer for Bong Joon-ho’s latest project “Mickey 17.”
Based on the 2022 novel “Mickey7” by Edward Ashton, the sci-fi thriller follows a down-on-his-luck Mickey (Pattinson), who signs up to die without reading the fine print. Mickey has donated his life to science, testing the limits of human nature and capabilities. But when one version of him dies, a clone is created in its place, retaining most of his memories and prepared to take on the next deadly mission.
Here’s a bit of what happens: Mickey drowns in lava, gets his hand chopped off in outer space and freezes to death, as Dean Martin’s “Ain’t’ That a Kick in the Head” plays brightly in the background, hinting at the tone of Bong’s forthcoming project.
“Even on my 17th go-around, I hate dying,” Mickey says in the trailer...
