This Kick lacks both kick and Comfort......
eajaysrivatsav30 August 2015
Watched Kick2.Despite the talk,i have my expectations on the film just because of the combo Ravi Teja and Surrender Reddy who are capable of entertaining audience even without a solid story.I don't want to waste much time on this and let this be quick......

Pros: 1)Cinematography. 2)Art Work. 3)Production Values. 4)Thaman's 'inspirational' music and BGM. 5)Brahmi and Ravi's comedy scenes. 6)The fight scene involving Kabir and Ravi Teja. 7)Rakul Preet Singh.(She is the stress buster of an insipid second half.) 8)Few Build up Shots. Cons: 1)Poor Story:They got an interesting line, but failed to convert into a convincing story. 2)Illogical treatment which crossed all the limits in second half. 3)Lagging Climax. 4)Disinteresting characterization of Robin hood(Ravi Teja). 5)Kovai Sarala episode. 6)Routine scenes in second half.

Surrender Reddy has recommitted every mistake he has done in his own film Osaravalli.Ravi Teja who is on roll with back to back hits failed this time.Kick 2's content is not on par with its prequel.Though the film has good amount of entertainment,it lacked emotions which looked forced. It has some similarities with yesteryear's Khaleja.Just watch it for Ravi,Rakul and few laughs. That is all.....

Worth watching

Coming into watching Kick 2 there are certain expectations set because the film is the sequel of the highly successful Kick. The same actors, and team are back for the sequel, but can they match the entertainment, the greatness of the original, because the prequel is regarded as a classic and rightly so. Well Kick 2 might not be a classic, and its not as great as the original but as a stand alone film or even as the formers sequel its a highly entertaining, mass entertainer. One goes into the theatre relaxes, and enjoys the highly stylish action and amazing comedy, the film doesn't have a dull moment, but mind you the film is a mindless entertainer .The Ravi Teja and Brahmanandam comedy in the first half is films highlight, they are a riot together. This is also probably the most stylish and slick shot telugu film ever, the screen always looks beautiful.

Story wise the film talks about the son of Kalyan from the original kick. Unlike Kalyan, who looked for a kick in everything he did, his son looks for comfort. His son Robin Hood needs to feel comfortable in every situation, no matter what. He even becomes a doctor so he feels comfortable, knowing his life is in his own hands. In parallel runs the story of a rustic village in Bihar that is terrorized by a man named Sulieman Singh. He has destroyed the villagers houses, and has made all the teenagers/younger children of the village into drug addicts so that he can have control over them, and make them into his soldiers. In short he has village in his palm. Then it is shown that Robin Hood comes to India to get his land back that is being disputed for, while this is going on he falls in love with a girl. The girl however tricks him into loving her so she can take him back to the Bihar village so he can help village kill Sulieman Singh. What happens next is what forms the films crux, to know more rush to theatres.

Acting wise Ravi Teja is at his energetic best.He is a live wire on screen, and is easily one of the most entertaining actors not only in the telugu film industry but in all of India. Brahmanandam is at his comic best his scenes are the best ones in Kick 2, his and Ravi Teja's chemistry is superb. Rakul Preet Singh is good and looks beautiful. Ravi Kishan as the villain was good. It was nice seeing 2 seasoned Bollywood actors Sanjay Mishra and Rajpal Yadav in a Telugu film, they were great.

Coming from the Surrender Reddy and Vakkantham Vasmi staple they have made another entertainer and winner. But you would think after Race Gurram this film would be notches above, but its has a lesser of a story but more entertainment so it evens out.

The one thing missing in Kick 2 is a great story like the former. This film is not close to greatness of the original, the story is kind of run of the mill, where man saves a village. But as a stand a lone film Kick 2 is winner because its entertaining the whole way through , its a perfectly made mass entertainer. For logic seeking audience however beware.

Overall if your looking for entertainment and a good relaxing time at theatres watch Kick 2 without a worry, laughs are guaranteed. And if your also a Ravi Teja fan like me then just rush to the theatres because this one of his best acts.

Only discomfort
vishwanatharaajasekhar18 October 2015
n the first part of Kick, Ravi Teja was portrayed as a sort of Robin Hood who steals money for a right purpose and does everything in life for the sake of some 'kick'. The sequel focuses on his son who is named after Robin Hood. Ravi Teja looks lean to put it in short. Given that his new look is still debatable, let's skip that for another day. As for his performance, he is his usual energetic self and like the first part, he carries the entire film on his shoulders. Of course, there are hordes of character artistes and villains which has become a norm these days, but Ravi Teja pulls off the film with his charisma. Rakul Preet Singh is a good choice for Chaitra. She looks good dancing around in Europe and is equally at ease being a village belle in Vilaspur. Of course, she also adds the much-needed glamour to an otherwise drab second half. Highlights: Cinematography Thaman's songs Some hilarious scenes in the first half Drawbacks: Outdated story Lethargic screenplay Lack of entertainment post interval Lacking novelty factor in each aspect of the movie Lengthy runtime Bad climax

The laugh riot between comfort and Kick
rosheenkan21 June 2021
This is the most funniest scenes when Ravi Teja shout ''PANDIT!!!'' when the shower not working and went to Brahmandam house where he demands Brahmandam to fix his shower and said ''I WANT MY COMFORT'' which forces Brahmandam to use manual shower.

Ravi Teja and Brahmandam comedy is hilarious.

fist half hilarious and second half goes into seriousness
opiee25 August 2015
enjoyed the movie very much first half and kick 2 fun and brahmi combination was hilarious.

story gets to seriousness in second half. whatever the plot decided by story was executed well in second half. But if comedy also maintained in second half with plot it would be very great.

Ravi and brahmi did not disappoint.

rakul is good and improved actor and looks like she will stay long term in telugu cinema.

Movie contents and production values are all good all the way till end. no stupid climax or logics but entertaining watch.

I wish more comedy in second half would made kick 2 tall but no dull moment until the end of the movie.

worth watching for kick and ravi teja fans. Ravi got very slimmer in this movie compared to other movies.
