It remains possible that players of Helldivers 2 will be studied in a few years, with psychologists and the military trying to find out what is their source of dedication, and if it can be weaponized. Starting with the server issues, players have stuck around for Arrowhead Studios to fix their game time and time again, and a similar opportunity has risen once again, with the transport ships refusing to take off under certain conditions.
A new glitch in Helldivers 2 has risen to the occasion
The issue was even called out by players on various social media platforms, including the game’s official community on Reddit. The different posts showcase how the developers need to swiftly fix the glitch before the enemy factions manage to get rid of every single player trying to upgrade their ship.

Baldur’s Gate 3 was a smash hit upon release. Of course, it’s a fantastic game, and the Baldur’s Gate name certainly helped. But, Swen Vincke, the head of Larian Studios, also recognized another crucial part of making a game successful—building trust with your fanbase.
Vincke recently shared some invaluable information about how his team navigated the challenges of appealing to its players while staying true to its vision that made the game such a hit.
Swen Vincke Tells How Baldur’s Gate 3 Cleverly Marketed Itself Baldur’s Gate 3 is a phenomenal example of game marketing itself.

Japanese male singer Sou released his latest digital single "Sekai wo Inuite" ( Shooting Through The World ) on April 14 and also posted the song's a music video on his official YouTube channel . The fast-paced rock tune is now featured as the opening theme for the spring 2024 TV anime The New Gate . "I often play video games, so the idea of 'reincarnating into a game world' is an exciting worldview that makes me very excited!" he said on the anime's official website . "The song was written by Neru, a Vocaloid producer. It is a dramatic tune with a sense of speed, which is in response to the new story that the main character Shin and his friends have started again. I hope that this song will bring a lot of excitement to the anime!" The action-packed animated music video was directed by Yorugata, who also worked on the song's digital jacket. Sou...

What the movie-streaming public wants depends on which top 10 chart you prefer. This week offered little consistency and some outright contradictions.
One thing is clear: Jake Gyllenhaal’s straight-to-streaming “Road House” remake is a massive hit. Amazon Prime reported over 50 million worldwide viewers through its second streaming weekend and gateway app Reelgood reported it as the week’s #1 movie for March 21-27 in the U.S.
“The Accountant,” a 2016 Warner Bros. drama starring Ben Affleck, is currently #1 at Netflix. On Easter weekend “The Passion of the Christ” led VOD at iTunes, while the just-released $19.99 “Imaginary” (Lionsgate) topped Fandango’s revenue-calculated list. (It was #20 at iTunes.) For a second week, Google Play did not update its list.
“Ordinary Angels” (also Lionsgate) is #2 at Fandango, but #14 at iTunes. Since Fandango calculates by revenue, that list favors PVODs — but this week, six of its top 10 rented for $5.99 or less; “The Passion of the Christ,...

Sci-fi is one of the best genres in the anime world and very few anime or manga series in the genre are able to earn fame and respect from the fans. Steins;Gate is one such anime that has elevated the sci-fi subgenre of anime to the pinnacle. It is a combination of drama, comedy, a little bit of action, and a whole lot of science fiction.
Steins;Gate (Credits: Crunchyroll)
The series aired 24 episodes created by the animation studio White Fox between April and September 2011 and the critics commended the story’s character development as well as its themes of time travel, human nature, and Ptsd. The series is based on 5pb. and Nitroplus’s 2009 visual novel which is also called Steins;Gate.
It is placed third on Myanimelist and is regarded as one of the greatest anime series of the 2010s. The series has produced four original net animation episodes as well as a spinoff film.

Adult Swim’s latest release, Ninja Kamui is a revenge anime about the Shinobi clans. I have rarely been disappointed by Adult Swim, and now that they are entering the anime scene, they have succeeded in creating an action-packed thriller. I was pretty hyped up after watching the first episode, and, as expected, the second one did not disappoint either. The animation does remind me a lot of anime like Steins; Gate and Super Crooks. However, I wonder if American-Japanese anime will become its own thing. I can’t say I’m a huge fan of the idea, as I’m not too fond of American corporations capitalizing on Japanese art now, but regardless they are making some great shows, and Ninja Kamui is definitely one of them.

Producer/director Robert Rippberger (Those Who Walk Away) recently wrapped production on the sci-fi thriller Renner, which sees Frankie Muniz and Violett Beane taking on a manipulative A.I. Now Rippberger is heading to the European Film Market in Berlin to launch sales on his slate of upcoming films – the first project in the line-up being a horror thriller creature feature called Monstrosity, which is reminiscent of the classic sitcom The Munsters (which recently received a feature film update from Rob Zombie) in that it focuses on a family that consists of classic monsters. In this case, a werewolf, a vampire, a zombie, and Frankenstein’s Monster. The mixture also brings to mind the ’80s classic The Monster Squad.
Variety reports that Monstrosity, which is currently in pre-production, has the following synopsis: A young village boy goes missing down a mine shaft. His father blames a strange family in the neighboring house,...

Like all demos, viewers of Black-led programming are cutting the cord in favor of streaming. Many end up at Philo.
Philo is not a niche SVOD (subscription video on-demand) service like BET+. The cable replacement boasts 70+ channels; it just so happens the vMVPD (virtual Multichannel Video Programming Distributor) serves certain niches — like BET’s — really well.
To hear CMO Nii Addy say it, Philo is about affordability and focus — and definitely not sports.
When every other vMVPD was chasing pricey sports rights, Addy stepped aside and let them through. What those services ended up with was a huge bill; the basic monthly Philo bill, including unlimited DVR, has remained just $25 since June 2021..
What many Philo subs do watch is a whole lot of Tyler Perry. Last week, three of the Top 5 series on Philo were from BET; the Top 2 shows, in order, were Perry’s “Sistas” and “The Oval.” Four...

Getting an independent movie made these days is hard enough but for producers piling into the halls of Santa Monica’s Le Méridien Delfina Hotel for the American Film Market this week, the SAG-AFTRA strike has added another layer of complication.
SAG-AFTRA’s Interim Agreements, or IAs, the contract required for independent producers to produce or talent to promote movies during the ongoing actors strike, have made packaging and deal making tricky, with many filmmakers uncertain when, even if, projects they are offering at AFM will be able to shoot.
“We have our cast set for Worldbreaker but we just have to wait for the end of the strike before we can actual get those deals done,” said director Brad Anderson, at AFM to pitch international buyers on his new dystopian sci-fi thriller, which The Exchange is selling. “Like most filmmakers, I’ve been sitting around not able to...

“Moonlighting” lovers are a dedicated crew — it was the kind of wildly imaginative, smart, sophisticated series that inspired passionate loyalty over the course of its 66 episodes (the two-part pilot is shown as a single episode) and five seasons on the air. What’s even more remarkable about fans’ dedication is the relative rarity of the series; the Glenn Gordon Caron-created genre hybrid has rarely been in regular syndication and its DVD releases have been out of print since 2013.
Not that the DVD releases really satisfied the die-hard fans. Sure, they got to relive just what all the fuss was about when the show took the country by storm back in 1985, as former model Maddie Hayes (Cybill Shepherd) and wise guy detective David Addison (a pre-“Die Hard” Bruce Willis) investigated crimes, bickered, broke the fourth wall, and generally served as television trailblazers up to and including the “Moonlighting” curse...

In the 1980s, Satan was everywhere. Heavy metal, horror movies, D&d, and right next door. The Satanic Panic was a cultural wave of terror that ripped across North America and infected just about everything. The fear - not even fear - the Knowledge that Satanic cults were rooted in our own communities and were working their Devil magic was embedded into the reality of every quiet berg, every worried mother, every family man. Devil worshippers were among us in ways we never even suspected and everyone was in danger - especially the children.
It’s a well-known phenomena, one that spread through fear, paranoia and a complete lack of factual evidence. Perhaps less well-known is how it got started. What launched the Satanic Panic? Where did these wild stories come from? How were they able to permeate the zeitgeist and take root in the minds of so many people? The...

Two years ago, Netflix began the How to Become family of satirical documentary series, which became hugely popular. The first of the many in the line was released in the year 2021 and was titled How to Become a Tyrant. The satirical humor laced documentary series helped people understand what was not right with the tyrants who ruled their countries with absolute power. The second installment of this Netflix Original documentary series is How to Become a Cult Leader, you can guess what the content of the show will be and who it is going to be about.
How to Become a Tyrant takes no time to jump into the nitty gritty of what happens behind the closed doors of so-called ‘cult leaders.’ The documentary covers in detail world-famous gurus, hypnotists, pastors, yoga teachers, and preachers, and each episode of the show is dedicated to one leader who ran a commune...

This year, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will be introducing four new diversity and inclusion standards that must be met in order for a film to be considered for an Oscar nomination.

The victory of “Everything Everywhere All at Once” at the 95th Oscars on Sunday is a milestone for Asian talent in front of and behind the camera. It’s also a sign that the Academy Awards is unafraid to make bold, unconventional bets and to embrace a movie that, on paper, could not be farther removed from typical Oscar bait.
And yet the A24 film walked away with the most Oscars with seven, including statues for best picture, director and original screenplay for Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, actress for Michelle Yeoh, supporting actress for Jamie Lee Curtis and supporting actor Ke Huy Quan. This marked A24’s second best picture win since the stunning upset of “Moonlight” (2016) over “La La Land,” also known as “envelope gate.”

If the pandemic year has proven anything about the global film community, it’s been the industry’s ability to adapt on the fly—even in the face of an unprecedented crisis for an industry that considers travel and face-to-face networking as essential to its basic function as post-production and P&a.
But as industry professionals around the globe dust off their passports and get their noses swabbed, the busy summer season ahead is a reminder that festival premieres and in-person industry events still offer a time-tested way to maintain old relationships and discover new talents.
Nowhere is that more evident than on a continent whose open borders have helped make such communal cultural events a hallowed institution. “Film festivals are still an important tool for the evaluation and promotion of European—including Baltic and Latvian—films and author-driven films,” says Dita Rietuma, director of Latvia’s National Film Center.

Like many people, J. Clay Tweel, director of “Heaven’s Gate: The Cult of Cults,” first heard of Heaven’s Gate when the bodies of 39 members of the group were discovered in March 1997. “I was in high school at the time in 1997. I grew up in a household that watched a lot of news, so I was inundated with it for about a two-, three-week basis. It just sort of took over the whole 24-hour news cycle back then,” Tweel recalls during Gold Derby’s Meet the Experts: Documentary panel (watch above). “I think I saw it through the lens of a lot of Americans back then, which was it quickly became a joke, something to be exploited and laughed at. I watched all the nightly news clips about it, the monologues for all the late-night shows.”
Tweel didn’t really think about Heaven’s Gate again until the opportunity came up...

I've been known to sprint through the occasional airport - and even waddle if I've overpacked - but Jennifer Garner is out here putting on a whole production in between Gate G1 and E3. In a video shared to her Instagram on Friday, the ballet superfan can be seen channeling her inner ballerina and pulling off an impressive pirouette and a few plies at the San Francisco International Aiport. "I've been working on my #Giselle. Is this right, Cindy?" Jennifer captioned the post, likely referring to the well-known Russian ballet dancer Giselle Ulanova. I might not know much about this highly technical dance, but I would definitely say Jennifer's technique is on pointe. Watch Jennifer's full applause-worthy performance ahead.

When you see “At Eternity’s Gate,” which opens Nov. 16, sit back and sink into Willem Dafoe’s remarkable performance as the Dutch post-impressionist painter Vincent Van Gogh. This is not Kirk Douglas in 1956’s “Lust for Life” or last year’s animated “Loving Vincent.” Fimmaker Julian Schnabel, an artist himself who previously cast the actor in 1996’s “Basquiat” and 2010’s “Miral,” places his star and us in the middle of the rustic French countryside with paint, brush and easel. At one point, Dafoe covers his face with dirt, becoming one with the outdoors. We see nature through his gaze, as he thickly slathers paint on his canvas to create a visceral work of art.
At 63, Dafoe is far older than the tortured Vincent, who died from suicide at 37. But, at some point, you will think that with his chiseled cheekbones and perceptive eyes, “Of course, he should have embodied this misunderstood genius long ago.

The Gate Season 3 release date is highly anticipated by fans of the anime largely because of where the story will go next. Animation studio A-1 Pictures adapted the fantasy story from the Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri (Gate: Thus The Jsdf Fought There) light novel series, and the plot seriously has xenomorphs from the American Alien movie series fighting against the Jsdf. But how does Sigourney Weaver’s adventures with Aliens connect to the popular Gate anime in the first place? The story first started life in 2006 as web novels being self-published by author Takumi Yanai. They were essentially […]
