The scout car and trucks next to the road when the Spitfire lands are British with German markings, suggesting the Germans used captured British equipment after the invasion.
The Spitfire flying in in the opening scene is supposed to be a Mark I or II, but is in fact a Mark IX with the barrels for the 20 mm cannon removed. The Mark IX was introduced over 2 years after the Battle of Britain, and can as such not been "one of the last remaining Spitfires from the battle". Aside from the cannons, major differences in the two types where camouflage pattern (brown/green for the Mk I vs gray/green for the Mk IX), number of exhaust pipes (3 for Mk I vs 6 for Mk IX) and a four-bladed propeller for the Mk IX vs three for the Mk I.
