Portrait of a contemporary well-off family with conventional controlling dad, typical stay-at-home mom, and two very different daughters. One of the girl is attracted to the home of one of her fellow university friends... Relationships, appearances, and much more! The characters are all very well played: Settar Tanrıöğen shines as the dad; Türkü Turan is very convincing in the role of the mysterious daughter; Sehnaz Bölen Taftalı's subtle facial expressions convey a lot of emotions; and Ilhan Sesen can act as well as he plays the 'kemençe'. Selim Evci was original in presenting reality on screen. The 102 minutes go by fast, even when there is not so much dialogues and even though most of the action takes places during family meals.
