Sex & Nudity

  • None; the characters are all animals.
  • At one point when Simba tells Kion that they need to talk, Kion mistakenly believes he is referring to the "birds and the bees" talk and protests that they have already had it. The moment is played humorously and as a nod to the romance scene between Simba and Nala in The Lion King.

Violence & Gore

  • The idea of animals killing and eating each other comes up in dialogue but isn't seen onscreen. Some fighting takes place between the heroes and villains, but no serious injuries are sustained.

Profanity

  • One use of "stupid"
  • A vulture almost says "What the Hell"
  • Some flatulence "humor" is featured, given the presence of Pumbaa and the "stink attack" method employed by Bunga, who is a honey badger.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Some of the action sequences might be intense for young viewers; a gazelle stampede might evoke unpleasant memories of events from The Lion King.
