Married to Dana Carvey
bkoganbing18 January 2017
It's Christian amateur hour again with Uphill Battle as the saintly church lady left by her sinful husband raising two kids as a single mom is concerned her son is starting to show his father's sinful ways. This cast of players you never heard of and aren't likely to deliver performances that wouldn't make it in a high school play.

As Shelby Smith goes into prayer several times about her kid and the new man in her life I was picturing her married life and all I saw was Dana Carvey as the church lady. No wonder the husband started using porn and drugs. To be sure in those flashbacks he's not any kind of prize himself. But it takes a great deal of patience to be married to a saint.

Some church audiences may like this, not for general consumption.

Other review so wrong

First of all, the other person who reviewed this movie was way off, especially about the part where he said Dana Carvey was married to this person. This is a great uplifting movie with lots of references to scripture. It's inspiring in so many ways. Although you don't know the cast, it really doesn't matter because the message is so strong. Whenever I need a movie to remind me of what's important, I watch this one. Being a single parent is very hard. Also being in a bad marriage is hard as well But this movie really tackles both Topics and helps you understand where to go when You don't know where to turn. The Bible is a place to go which this movie reminds you of. It's an uphill battle but with the full armor of God anything is possible.
