There was nothing original in this film and the acting was subpar all around. The narration throughout the film was annoying and it also slowed the story down. The jokes were extremely unfunny and any movie that features a lengthy vomit scene for humour is low grade in my opinion. Hard pass.

I have no idea who the intended audience was. I'd suggest that maybe it was for people unfamiliar with coherent stories and have short attention spans, but that would be an insult to people unfamiliar with coherent stories and have short attention spans.
The comedy wasn't funny, and tried too hard. Nick Cannon was atrocious, having neither the charisma of Will Smith nor Key&Peele's ability to work a caricature. Brosnan kept using weird accents for no reason, and was played off like he isn't 15 years too old to be a sex symbol. Sometimes there was supposed to be something resembling drama, but it was like a watered-down melodrama that didn't know what it was supposed to be about. Slapstick vomit humor that stayed long past its welcome.
This has a nonsensical 'plot' that should never have been committed to thought, let alone given screen time. Even the most generic heist movie plot is more solid than this, with much better payoffs. As someone in a previous review said might happen, I DID indeed ask myself often "What even is this?" So much so that as I continued to waste my time, the 'movie' lost a star. Should have only been a 4, maybe 4.5, but it just kept getting worse.
I can't even recommend it as a fun way to hang out with friends and get intoxicated.

What a lot down. Great locations, decent production and wonderful cast.
However this has been some of the most idiotic directing and use of dialogs i have seen.. probably ever.
You cant give it a 1 because the cast is just too great.
Here is what i do not understand not just with this movie but others which gave bad writing or unploshed scripts. You spend 50 million or more on a movie and you cant invest in a flawless script and good writing? This movie is so close to being a great and yet such a colossal miss.

This is the worst Ocean's Eleven clone ever. While I was waiting for something to happen - it ended. And Pierce Brosnan and Tim Roth are far better actors than this.
So don't waste your time on that movie.

Oh my, this was awful in every way. Most of the actors have zero talent and the couple that do obviously sleep walked through this. The is just a rip off of generic heist film and the dialogue is cringeworthy.

It's nothing new, been done many times before, and much better, but I have to say, as cheesy as it was, I still enjoyed it. For the most part, it's because of the cast.
The casting was great all around, and the set locations amazing, but where this film failed is in the writing/screenplay. The plot was convoluted and had many holes in it. The attempt at humor - specifically the dialogue, was terrible. It was trying too hard.
The directing wasn't the greatest, but the cinematography helped overlook many off the flaws. The score was actually fitting, but like most typical B films, it was loud and overbearing.
The 94 min runtime flew by with the decent pacing. I kinda wanted more fun minutes added. It seems this was a big budget B film, and it's a shame the experienced writers and director didn't put in a better effort to make this film much better. It's a very generous 6/10 from me, most of it going to the cast.

A B-movie with a big budget is the nicest way I can describe this film. Brosnan is pretty good in this, and does his best with a laughably bad script that felt like it was written by an A. I. program. The sets and locations are actually quite nice, and the cinematography isn't bad either. The rest of the movie is a mess; the plot makes no sense, the dialogue is again, how a robot thinks people converse, and Nick Cannon almost ruins every scene he's in. I predict that you will ask yourself no less than 10 times "what am I watching?" during this movie.
If you go into this expecting it to be bad, you may actually enjoy yourself!

I'd have given it an 8 out of 10 but a lot of donkeys went after this film with scores below a 5, even as low as a 1. So I gave it a 10.
One of those donkeys lied about Pierce's character having a girlfriend less than half his age. No, that woman character turned him down because she said she turns every man down. (and no, she didn't imply she goes after women or trans)

Relax, this movie doesn't take itself seriously and the plot is there just to frame a bit of fun and action. Don't go and expect to see a well thought heist movie. Visually and technically the movie looks really good. It's meant to go over the top. The acting is rather good with nice nuances there and there - you got the feeling that everybody who worked in the movie felt relaxed and had a good time making it.
Sure the pacing was a bit clunky and you don't always know what is happening, however in the end you feel light hearted and entertained. And for a change, not a single gun was shot in the movie!

I saw the horrendous reviews before watching this film and thought to myself, it can't be that bad let me see if I can prove the critics wrong. Unfortunately they were 100% correct. This movie was massive dumpster fire.
Incredibly slow and boring. The acting was cheesy and dialouge was even worse. Brosnan who I'm usually a massive fan of only showed up for the paycheck and Roth wasn't to far behind. Nick Cannon also should have any future acting role revoked hes one of the worst of all time.
The only redeeming traits this movie had was the visuals which I found to be for a B-movie amazing. Outside that this movie isn't worth a lick. Avoid at all costs!

If you're thinking to yourself "hmmm, I actually liked "Troll 2", and "Manos, the hands of fate" then have we got a movie for you! I'm not sure which one, but not "The Misfits", it's unwatchable. I hope it was worth it, Pierce. You cant sell a Casio now.

Tries to be cool and funny and just isn't. Starts with a lengthy voice over trying to setup the plot but is annoying. Brosnan's character takes half the movie to decide if he will even participate in the caper. And the caper is so quick and easy and the guys guarding the gold are pretty stupid. Don't recommend this at all.

This film is an incoherent mess. There are so many scenes that has no connection with the rest of the film, such as the short scene where Jamie Chung ties up a man in the bathroom. There film tries to be an action comedy, but is successful at being neither.

A group of vigilante criminals call themselves the Misfits. Ringo (Nick Cannon) steals from bank safe deposit boxes and gives to the poor. Violet (Jamie Chung) rescues human trafficking victims. Explosive expert Wick (Mike Angelo) blows up evil. The Prince (Rami Jaber) is a con artist. The group recruits escape expert Richard Pace (Pierce Brosnan) with his daughter Hope (Hermione Corfield). They have to rob private prison owner Schultz (Tim Roth) who is holding a large gold deposit in a middle east prison for a terrorist group.
This is bad but I'm also a sucker for heist movies. It's trying to be cool by infusing itself with oil-moneyed Abu Dhabi and faux flashy directing. The net effect is a clueless fakeness to everything. It's like taking a dump in a gold plated bathroom. Sure, it may be fun to do it once but if it's actually your bathroom, it says something else about you. The only good news is the suaveness of Pierce Brosnan who almost pulls off the whole affair. On the other hand, there is no way to overcome how tired I've become with Nick Cannon. The caper is rather silly but it uses a real world group as terrorists. It's caught between silly and awkwardly real. It's bad but I'm a sucker. What can I say.

Any shootouts... must be a ''smooth criminal'',,, because its a clean and slick operation, with the '' oceans'' film concept as a boyhood inspirational dream for a up and coming director and producers management.
And a heist there is, its quite quiet cuoted the quwaitian, and all the realism is stretched so far and wide, with no police or interpol, no military or security organisation, just a laundryoperation in a maximus luxurious prison somewhere bogus jazeristan somewhere arabic fantasyland, so dont fetch an atlas, you wont find it.
Did i like the film... yes, but its not neither brilliant or superb. The cast is and seems too smooth, the cabaret of a heist too pharmaceutical and clean, and the ending without a hint of a twist makes the whole experience quite average.
But thats the gut feeling from an acute abdominal grumpy old man (maybe its the prison virus), pierce brosnan didnt wet his pants, and guides his high browed upperlip with style. So its not a new ocean to put a name on, just a summersalty sandy desert where the rich and robewearing lives, that already has got a name... a smooth recommend.

Pierce Brosnan is the reason I wanted to watch this. A movie about a gold heist with Pierce Brosnan starring in it, that did ring my bell. BUT unfortunately Pierce Brosnan (the former James Bond) is now lowering himself to B-movie level, with lots of Asian B-movie actors in a B-movie script.
Let's forget that this movie was ever made and let's hope that the excellent actor Pierce Brosnan will grow old with dignity and without further lowering himself to these kind of rubbish B-movies...
