Stargirl Caraway : The kid it belongs to got it for his birthday, but then got into an accident. He's been in the hospital for a few weeks, but he's better now and coming home.
Leo Borlock : Wait, are you talking about Hillari Kimble's brother? Is he a friend of yours?
Stargirl Caraway : No.
Leo Borlock : How do you know that's his bike?
Stargirl Caraway : I have my ways.
Leo Borlock : So, why was it at the thrift store?

Leo Borlock : Does she know you're coming?
Stargirl Caraway : No.
Leo Borlock : So, you're just gonna leave it there?

Stargirl Caraway : [interrupting] I have no Idea what you're talking about, Leo Borlock.

Leo Borlock : [after Stargirl ran away from school as Hillari scolded her] Stargirl, please wait. We can fix this.
Stargirl Caraway : Some things just take some time.
Leo Borlock : Or maybe you don't have to do all the things that you do.
Stargirl Caraway : What do you mean?
Leo Borlock : You could just hang out. Like, when it's just us.
Stargirl Caraway : So you can go back to blending in.
Leo Borlock : This isn't about me!

Leo Borlock : You were the one that you wanted to make friends!
Stargirl Caraway : I do!
Leo Borlock : Then listen to them! Why can't you just be more like everybody else?
Stargirl Caraway : Is that what you want?
Leo Borlock : I don't know. But I think you'd be happy. I think we could be happy.
[Stargirl starts walking away]
Leo Borlock : Stargirl. Stargirl, come on, I'll drive you home.
Stargirl Caraway : I'd rather walk.
Leo Borlock : It's getting dark.
