WORTH A LOOK ? DEFINITELY !

Three cheers for hotel TV's ! I accidentally caught a chunk of this movie during a recent holiday and was luckily able to see the whole thing with English subs on good old Youtube once home. In short, it's quite entertaining. The somewhat clunky title suggests the storyline, but don't be put off. The script is apparently based on a famous Chinese comic by online cartoonist Xiong Dun, who was struggling with the "T" word of the title and decided to use humour as a way of putting her battle on the web and inspiring other cancer patients. That lightness of tone is one of two key factors here, especially in the first half. Director Yan Han unleashes some impressive fantasy scenes reflecting the heroine's thoughts ( who is named after the real-life author ) and a handsome doctor assigned to the case ( a suave Daniel Wu ) is a catalyst for some solid laughs as Ms Xiong flirts up a storm. I would've preferred a fantasy or two with XD imagining being blissfully married to the doctor, though a zombie scene is done very well. Two words for Key Factor Two : Baihe Bai. That's the main actress, and she's just adorable ! It's incredibly easy to fall in love with her and consequently her medical and personal adventures will make you care. Of course, beauty and a big smile don't necessarily equate with acting ability, and the more serious second half proves she has the required talent. And the supporting cast are all effective too. I won't discuss how it ends and whether she survives, but the final scene made me cry and I believe even the most hard-hearted of you will be moved.

This film is simply wonderful. Through all the pain Xiong dun was able to stay brave and strong. I recommend this movie because it has its happy and sad moments. As well as being a movie which revolves around friendship and family. This is definitely a must watch.

Also it is based on a true story, which makes the film is all the more beautiful.

Equal parts silly, sad, and wistful. Be ready for an emotional gambit run.

Baihe Bai lights it up in this delightful rom-com about...dying of cancer(?!). Playing a bubbly comic artist with a not-very-demure personality which lands her in difficulty both professionally and romantically, she unexpectedly collapses one day and is diagnosed with lymphoma. The majority of the film follows her in the hospital as she falls into CGI-laced flights of fancy--ala Scott Pilgrim VS The World--mingles with her friends, and bats eyelashes at her handsome doctor. Somehow, this is not a complete bore.

The pace of the film switches gears often enough to keep things from getting stale. Baihe Bai is a joy to watch in every scene. All of the side characters are brought to life very well. And the sheer quirkiness of the picture keeps you engaged as it veers between our lead hoping that the doctor will need to take her clothes off in the exam room to...Matrix-running up the hospital walls while shooting zombies in the head(???). Let's just say that this is something which could only be dreamed up in Asia! A very good thing!

The jokes usually land quite well and the romance aspect never gets sickly sappy sweet. For a genre which I rarely watch, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Equal parts silly, sad, and wistful, be ready for an emotional gambit run.

Damnnnn.. I sooo much love love this drama it's that kind of a drama that give you hope and faith for you to live happily in life 💖 It's that kind of drama that will make all your emotions come at onceee coz it's sooo good Well played Good casts Good female lead that knows how to make youu cry with everything she says 😭😭 Can't count how many times I've watched it and I cried like a baby whom mom is not around 😭 every time I watch.

I just can't describe how much I loveeeeee this drama sooo heartbreaking and heartfelt movie of all time.

U must all watch it when feeling sad about life When u feeling low Or when u feel like life is not being fair to youuu.. Then you'll understand and feel comforted..
