The episode is intense and stressful on an intellectual level and has a very real and personal conclusion. But to me, the star of the show was the piano concerto played during, "the last shot"........Sad and beautiful. I hope the concerto is made available for download. This was my favorite episode to date.

The Parting Shot

This is my favourite AOS episode yet and is the only one I have cried at. The ending was perfect as far as episode / character endings go. The show won't be the same without Bobbi and Hunter. What I want to focus on is the final scene with the shots. It was such a small thing... That turned into my favourite scene of the show! Seeing Mack stay behind at the end was just... AGH! I love it! Just everything in that scene was so subtle and well made. Agents of SHIELD... Thank you

This episode showed the awesome writing skills that marvel can produce, the screen play was excellent. The last scene where the name "parting shot" came alive was absolutely amazing it reminded me of the time in Grey's anatomy where Dr. Grey's Husband Died.

I was at a loss for words and had absolutely no idea what to say my eyes were a bit watery and im definitely looking to see more of this season.

This episode was full of surprises and all who watch will be shocked and definitely will not be at a loss for suspense and surprising twists.

Really hoping to see what the next episode would be like

One of my absolute favorite episodes ever, it makes me so emotional everytime I watch it, especially that last scene, I don't think I've ever been this sad in a scene that doesn't involve a death, a testament to the great writing and acting. I know the actual BTS story make this episode less sweet than it actually felt at the time, but I'd rather always hold that feeling I had when I first watched it, and not let my outside knowledge taint it, because is is unfair to the writers who did a great job with what they had to work with.

Other reviews will have given plenty of the storyline away but I wont say too much....

However! For an episode with relatively little action compared to others I must say this is one of the best episodes this season. A heart warming goodbye to two characters who seemed stifled and not really required at times but still a part of the team (by all accounts they are getting their own series in the near future so not too many tears).

The last five minutes were almost totally silent with very little dialogue. But no more was needed. As an emotionally stunted 40 year old man and I was choked and close to a tear or two.

Well done. Loved it.

That ending got me hard...it could have gone worse for them but now they can finally take that vacation. Ill miss his humor and her beauty.

Emotionally poignant, and amazing acting all around, especially by Palicki and Bood. Still the only episode of this show to make me cry, and for good reason.

I'm new to AOS and I do not allow my wife to drop any hints of anything and to her credit she didn't give me fire warning. My favorite episode due to the character development...and the story. I didn't see any of the ending coming, but THE ENDING rivals any of my most favorite show ending episodes. WOW

I'm sure it's a "think tank" in the writers room and we the audience are indebted to all those who collaborate in the writing...BUT...Stan Lee was and is a genius. His vision for AOS and all the other projects he nurtured is without an equal.

I tried to do my best with no spoilers for this episode, but, well, I'm still trying to contain my grief.

Worst Episode of the series

In direct contrast to some other reviewers, I found this episode to be predictable and lame. The goodbye send-off for two members of the team was incredibly sappy and far too long. This is supposed to be a show with great action and sci-fi appeal, not some weak attempt at heart string pulling filled garbage. I find this especially interesting as other Marvel series such as Daredevil and Jessica Jones are getting edgier and pushing the boundary the opposite direction. Yes I realize there is a difference between broadcast mediums but still, this is weak crap.

This episode did not fit with the narrative of the show and I sincerely hope is not a sign of where the series is going.

Marvel! Do your homework!

Agents of SHIELD is a decent show. Each season has its unique flavour, its own atmosphere. But there were no obvious mistakes. This episode in paricular has a nice structure, good drama and action scenes. To be honest the "Russian" episode from season 1 I was watching in Russian dub, so I cannot critisize it. Yet this one I can. And God! So many mistakes that make me feel beyond cringe. That is just bad. Bobbie supose to infiltare the facility and judge others for being bad agents as they do not speak foeign languages. Case in study - Russian. And when she is there, talking to Russians, her pronounciation is pure gibberish. Then Russian characters that speak English between each other. That is just nonsence as earlier we see guards that talk fine Russian. And my absolute favourite is the computer keybord. That is the object from Hell. Producers, assistants, director! Where have you been? You couldn´t find Russian consultant, at least find in google how the Russian keybourd looks like. We do not translate "Enter" we leave it as it is. and Ctrl also. What is shown in the movie reads as Tstrl. and finally Shift. I woul put in cyrilics here, but the IMDB does not let me... Well, my point is that from language perspective the episode is absolute mess and ruins the mood. Next time find some Russian person to help you!

Really was quite bored with this episode, a tedious filler.

Huge fan of this series. However, this was an absolutely awful episode. What a waste of 40 minutes.

So two characters leave. Why? They have to leave SHIELD. Again, why? This episode just ended up being a tedious filler when a 5 minute section in a real episode could have explained why they had to leave would have more than sufficed and been equally as unfathomable....

What a shame that we don't seem to have the writers that we had pre-2008, i.e. the writers guild strike. Series production has drastically altered since then; shorter seasons, odd scripts, not enough episodes to fill-out the characters. So I'm confused that we have a complete episode devoted to 2 characters that promptly get dropped.

If the standard of this episode is repeated then I can see this show losing viewers and being cancelled. Hopefully the next episode will get back on track.

Please can I have that 40+ minutes of my life back so that I can enjoy watching some grass grow.

Groan, but at least he's gone.

I know most loved him. Could have put up with Bobbi. I am so glad the spin-off did not get off the ground. I hated Hunters character and Nicks acting.
