Absolute load of rubbish
OzMovieWatcher18 July 2020
This is obviously a high school movie project, and a very bad one at that. Not a single positive thing I can say. It is rubbish and if you look closely out those 10 star ratings, it is obvious they are the film makers high school buddies. Fake reviews.

This is by far the worst movie ever made. Robots could act better than these clowns.

In the words of Nancy Reagan: Just Say No
yard_boy8 December 2018
Don't believe what you see on the poster. You don't get the slick US combat infantryman. You get kids in anonymous, ill-fitting, red target-like uniforms with helmets sliding off their heads, hanging by their straps. On patrol, they make too much noise and don't watch their six (rear). And they don't know how to die after being struck by an obvious paintball. Somebody pocketed $3000.

Complete crap

Warning: Spoilers
This movie was over the top bad the one actor even forgot his lines at one point. If the guy who wrote this was really in the military he should be ashamed of himself...bicycle helmets and snowboarding goggles dont cut it as gear.

Can you say lame?
Thomazgunzz27 January 2019
Man thiss is poor poor poor. Acting is terrible. The helmets look like they belong on sombody ready to hve a seizure and you got to love the zip ties they use when "securing" the native.RUN don wak away from this one unless you want some laughs. Oh and dont forget how awsome the military vehicle they were in when they broke down.

Looks like it was filmed in my backyard

A pretty bad movie. Bad plot (truck breaks down so lets walk through enemy territory). Terrible dialogue, bad acting and no cinematography whatsoever. Someone turned on their home camcorder and said "action!"

French New Wave War Movie
jessebough14 December 2018
Films made like this in the 60's & 70's were received with open arms. The recklessness of the Filmmaking and the raw style of the acting is really spot on for French New Wave Era Cinema. We need Art House Cinema two make a come back, and maybe this movie will help! There are a lot of hints to older War Films from the past. One can't help but think of Aguirre Wrath of God. If you like Criterion Films, you'll sure be happy you spent your money. Can we all agree to keep all the action in Camera like these guys did? Yeah it's hard and everyone is giving these guys a hard time but atleast they actually try. Hollywood just throws money at movies now and not talent. Give these guys a thumbs up!!

Worthy of a watch
ruimjo13 April 2017
Very promising effort from a young writer-director. Looking forward to the next film. The psychological terror created is enough to keep the tension going throughout its, vastly, short running time of 70 minutes. It's actually quite surprising how this is all pulled off with a limited budget at the director's disposal.

Bad acting. Makes war look like a funy BB gun game. But this comedy is also realy fun if you see them wearing BMX/Skateboard helmets.

Indie or not: it's a waste of time.
harald-hofer-197126 December 2018
You see: I love Indie films. I don't need the Hollywood block busters. And I understand that without a proper budget a film will not look like one. But bad actors, bad dialogs and a bad script in general will ruin any film. Furthermore as the idea is interesting. Imagin them moving like you would behind enemy lines. Barely any talking. Ever present fear of being discovered. Moving only at night, etc. Even with a smaller budget, some good advisors and good actors this could have been 70min of tension... But this?

I don't know
nogodnomasters28 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
You can tell a war picture is low budget when the military vehicle is a Chevy Silverado. I wasn't sure whom we were fighting. They had a map which indicated they were in Colorado, i.e. "Dutch George Flats." The bad guys had a table map of SE Asia. One enemy soldier had the garb of an Afghan and the complexion of a Swede. One bad guy had a fez. I was thinking this was a low budget "Red Dawn" but they seemed to be fighting overseas.

Now if the location was not important, neither was the acting and dialogue which was equally as bad. The uniforms had a pink tint to them, apparently by design or they didn't sort their laundry properly. Was that bright red artist paint for blood? What happened to Karo syrup and red dye?

Worth a punch on the hacker's card if you can make it through it. This is why indie film makers should be jailed.

Guide: F-word.

Oh My God
cbodhinath7 December 2018
Feel sorry for the Directors hence nothing to talk about the acting. Wrong uniforms, wrong terrain, wrong tactics etc. Wonder who made this film. The film would have been categorized as a comedy if there were some hilarious moments. My favorites are war movies and these people have insulted the very word of it.A real waste of time.

Poor planning and preparation.
pieterwest27 December 2018
I appreciate the fact that this title was put together by a few friends with a very limited budget. I like the determination of getting this to production. What I would have liked to have seen is better preparation from the script writers to ensure closer realism to actual military terminology and protocols. These things could have been picked up with a little bit of free research on google. Over all, it was not too bad, considering the budget.

Why...
timbishopshopping6 July 2021
Sure, I get is been made, the one star is because they actually had the balls to release it. The 3000 spent on it shows, that's prob how much the raft and flares cost. Seriously give this a miss. Bad acting, bad script, bad location. The only battle going on was me watching it through to the end.

Cool B-Movie!
FilmOpinionsForYou8 December 2018
After a second viewing, it is for sure a B-Movie about characters. Read it was made by Veterans, my brother is a Veteran and he said a lot of the dialogue in the film is lingo used in the military. I think if you're comparing it to glorified military films made by Hollywood then you will for sure be disappointed. The dynamic between the small squad of four soldiers is really cool and by the end of the film you definitely feel like you know these people or have met them. worth the rent and worth my time. If you like Samuel Fuller's War Films then you will like this film.

Indie Film-making!
malonericcardo13 December 2018
We need more film-makers like this! There are too many Box Office movies being made by the same group of director's, all hand picked by the studio heads. Films like these show promise and hard work. New fresh ideas and new fresh outlooks.

The soldiers in this movie really make you care about them at the end. This film seems to be about the soldiers and how a small squad interacts. Cool uniforms, something unique.

We never see fantasy in war movies but here, if you open your mind to the story, it is a really cool journey that breaks an hour of storytelling. Hope we have new movie makers like this in the industry to spice it up a bit!

Camera Angles are Different
georgewaldron20 December 2018
The Camera in this movie makes you feel like a participant, it feels like someone is holding a phone and tagging along for the journey with these four "Fictional Soldiers." As the film goes on you stop thinking that it feels like a snapchat video and begin paying attention to the events and characters. This style of video recording is not in many modern movies. The color of the uniforms are apparently on purpose along with the Flags, which are not real flags belonging to any country. But then you realize that's on purpose. Thumbs Up!

Odd, interesting tale of madness.
joshuacranereview2 January 2019
An extra point for style. Intriguing style, without a budget, without much experience; strong re-make of this hit/classic. The story is interesting but makes no more sense than the madness of war, which is what is depicted.

Could be a bit shocking, dealing as it does with moral issues that are so basic many people would rather not admit that they exist. Attempting to depict such weirdness is part of the movie makers genius.

Really interesting and sometimes downright good use of camera and sound. Always do your best, dear reader, for even your first movie could be your last.

Dare I say better than the original? (Fear and Desire)

Movie by Veterans
brianlukowski20 December 2018
You'll see red target-like uniforms with helmets sliding off their heads, hanging by their straps. Marching through the Forrest not knowing what to do but keep going almost as if the movie makers were Military Vets or something...
